She sat there pondering, pondering what Raven had told her, about Love and about how she feels about Robin. Yes they were dating but they had never said, that. She certainly hoped he felt for her that way that he loved her undoubtedly, because… she was in love with him and she couldn't help but think about the fact over and over again and what really caused the sudden realization. Raven said love was a connection between two people that moved past love, Raven even wrote down a list for her to help realize the so called symptoms of Love.
You can't help but smiling every time you see him. (Memories flashed before her remembering all the smiles and laughs she had, had with Robin.
You get angry every time you see him with another girl. (She seethed upon thinking of Kitten and Robin, it was just repulsing. She never knew what jealousy felt like but she did now.)
Your heart seems to beat faster, your breath shortens, and you have butterflies in your stomach.
You think about him day in night.
You dream about him. (She did, she has a dream where she was on Tamaran about to kiss the sqwiltch at their wedding and she closed her eyes and she kissed him but the lips, or whatever they were, felt too human, too familiar. When she opened her eyes there was Robin dressed in Tamaranian apparel kissing her.)
You mindlessly scribble your name on a piece of paper. (She remembered that day, all over a mission file that she was supposed to give back to Robin later that day, plus she wrote it in pen.)
Your eyes always wander over to him even when you're trying to concentrate on something else.
You purposely date another man to see his reaction. (She didn't date Red X but she could see the seething anger in Robin, but when he crashed her wedding she was overjoyed that it was him and not anyone else.
When you sit next to him and your arms start to touch you don't move your arm but instead keep it there.
The first man who you ever truly connect eyes with will be the one you fall in love with. (The first time she saw Robin their eyes, well his mask and her eyes met and she knew then that this boy was going to be more to her than just an enemy or ally.)
All of these things were true she had done each of them in one way or another and she admitted it, she was in love with him and nothing was going to change that fact, not that she wanted it to. Just then Robin walked in carrying a piece of paper and staring at it questionably.
"Robin!" She exclaimed excitedly.
"Star? Oh uh hey." He obviously wasn't expecting her. "Uh listen Star I was talking with Cyborg earlier today and he gave me this list."
She looked at him curiously her head spinning around at what he was saying.
"And it made me realize something, I love you Star, I really love you."
Tears started tearing down her eyes faster than she even realized and held out her list and nodded in agreement.
"I love you Robin, I love you too."
She smirked knowing this couldn't have just been a coincidence and she thanked Raven and Cyborg for it, she did love him she really did and he loved her back, and now she knew.
