As I beheld the remains of various human bodies, I knew then, that I would stop the fiend responsible for this. Speedily, I darted from the small laboratory, and went to find my new boss, M. Krempe. He was the cause of my accidental discovery of that laboratory. I have recently taken upon myself the duties of an assistant. As one of these duties, I am to sort and categorize scientific articles for the use of professors. I was taking several items to a storage room when I happened to come across that offensive place. Test tubes, papers, chemicals, and worst of all, mounds of decaying limbs scattered all throughout the room. A quick glance at an open notebook lying on a counter revealed the purpose of these corpses; the fool who worked in this place was attempting to reanimate dead materials!
Now I met with my employer. "Mr. Krempe, sir?" I called when I had reached his office door.
"Yes, what is it?"
"Sir, who works in the laboratory a flight below us?"
"A student...Frankenstein! Yes, Victor Frankenstein works there."
" Do you know what he does there?" I implored.
"No."
"Sir I think you should see the experiments he has been conducting, he is doing some...interesting work with reanima-"
"Nonsense!" Krempe interrupted, "Victor has more brains than to try any of that."
"But sir he-"
"I'll here none of it! Frankenstein is a good, paying student. You will not bother me with this issue again. Now get back to work."
"Yes sir."
It seems I shall have to take matters into my own hands. Frankenstein must be stopped at all costs! But am I willing to pay the price for his folly?
Later that night I walk towards the local tavern, the Wolf's Head. This is where most of the university students gather. He will be there. Once inside I immediately begin to inquire about Frankenstein's whereabouts.
"Where is Victor Frankenstein?"
"I am here."
"You are the one working on reanimation?"
Dead silence.
"I am. What of it?"
"Will you stop and destroy your work?"
"Never! Who are you?"
"Very well."
I pull a flintlock pistol out from the folds in my cloak, level it at Frankenstein's head, and pull the trigger. Thus, I sacrifice my immortal soul.
