I picked up the pages I tore out of the book and wadded the paper while Faber watched.
"What are you doing?", he shouted, "stop it!"
"Will you help me?"
"No, I can't."
"I'm a fireman I can have this whole place burned!"
"And I can hide the books."
"We'll talk later. Right now I have to go to work." I said with a sneer to the old man. Walking rapidly from the dwelling, I stomped down the street. The Captain was right, those books were stupid and made no sense. Besides, I'm not willing to lose my job over them. I'll burn them after I report the old man.
