Very soon after Olaf had lost custody for the three orphans, (Violet, Klaus and Sunny) Mr Poe started phoning round to find them a more responsible guardian, and one who wasn't completely absurd. 'Absurd' is a word which here means 'someone who is beyond help because their obsession of stealing three orphans' fortune has grown a hundred times over the limit.'
Olaf, sly as he was, had been keeping a particularly close eye on these orphans and their clumsy temporary guardian Mr Poe, hoping to hear a snippet of information of where their new guardian was awaiting them, and then a good disguise would go underway.
On one fine day, (when he had obviously been stalking the orphans and Mr Poe) Olaf found himself spying on Mr Poe and the children in a very boring art gallery, (not to mention most are). Paintings of money hung from every single wall. Japanese money, Mexican money, Brazilian money, Chilean money, and even Antarctican money were showcased in the gallery.
Mr Poe had been fondly Amused, but the children slouched in a corner of the room, muttering complaints to each other.
Olaf didn't see the point of spending so much time on making a picture of money, when you could be making a plot to steal three innocent children's enormous fortune. This is of course what he was up to. There was a connection though; thought Olaf. Thinking about Money and a fortune equaled nothing more than more money! This was all Olaf's dimwitted mind could think of at that moment.
Mr Poe, on the other hand, was standing next to a wall, having a very loud conversation on the pay Phone with someone called 'Dr Montgomery Montgomery'.
"Yes, yes, the children would absolutely love that!" he half shouted into the phone. A few people nearby turned to look at him.
He coughed into his white handkerchief before continuing. "So you want the children to call you 'Uncle Monty'. Well that's perfectly fine with me. Now, just give me your details and the children and I will be arriving at your house at four- tomorrow afternoon." He got out a piece of paper and wrote down the details of Dr Montgomery Mongomery. Olaf cunningly peered over Mr Poe's shoulder and copied down the details on his own piece of paper.
"Bye then" Mr Poe said cheerfully into the phone and hung up.
A smile crossed Olaf's face, and a plan crept into his head. It was not just the Orphans arriving at Dr Montgomery Montgomery's place tomorrow. Someone called Mr Stefano would be there too…
