It was the annual Ohio west state school mixer. McKinley, Dalton Academy, Dobry Hall and St Patricks all in one room. A disaster waiting to happen no doubt.

As most of the schools had a glee club of some sort, one of the events was a karaoke duet competition. Dalton and St. Patricks Vs. McKinley and Dobry. Most students put their names forward and they were all looking forward to their pairing. All except ...

"You have got to be kidding me?" said David looking down at the programme details.

"It will be alright. We'll put our differences aside our voices alone will help us win." replied Blaine.

"I have no problem putting my differences aside, it's HIM we have to worry about" they looked over to where David was looking. Wes was standing a bit off, eyes fixed across the room. Following his gaze they saw Derek Seigerson and holding onto his arm was no other than ...

"Tabitha? Really Wes? Let it go" said Kurt, smacking his arm.

Wes snapped out of it and tore his gaze away.

"Sorry guys. What were we talking about?"

"Discussing about us having to sing duets with St. Patricks. It's a joke. It will put a new term to "Banshee's"

The group sniggered.

Later on they gathered round to hear the results of the teams.

Josephine Lamontague, Ohio's leaading educationalist stepped forward.

"Representing McKinley and Dobry is ... Katherine Rivers of Dobry and Noah Puckerman of McKinley. The second team is Joanna Kilner of Dobry and Jacob Ben Israel of McKinley"

David grabbed Katherines hand possessively, seeing the look Noah was giving her. Jacob Israel stood petrifyed, he hadn't entered but people could see Noah, Sam, Mike and Artie guffawing behind his back (they had entered his name earlier that evening) Joanna Kilner looked at Jacob apprehensively and walked over much to her chagrin.

"Representing Dalton Academy and St. Patricks is ... Reed Van Kamp of Dalton and Robert Sheen of St. Patricks-" The boys wolf whistled at Reed who in turn blushed and cut his lip on the can of soda he was drinking from.

"-The second team is Wesley Hughes of Dalton and from St. Patricks...-"

David and the others held their breath, wondering who Wes had to put up with

"- Tabitha Adams"

Dobry, Dalton and St. Patricks all fell silent and McKinley just stared confused.

Kurt and the others looked flabbergasted and patted his arm sympathetically.

No freaking way. Wes gulped
