Disclaimer: I do not own Star Trek, or Deanna or Will or Worf or Data or Geordi or anybody or anything else. I do own some things at home, but no people... That's horrible.
So this isn't romance, it's just like a poker game! It's pretty short becaue I couldn't incorporate poker into it. I don't know anything about poker. I'm not even sure if you lay your cards down.
This is my fourth of four stories today! Yep, my last one! That's so sad... Okay, not really. Of course, you might be sentimental over the past fifteen minutes, but other then that, my four stories haven't even been around.
Deanna Troi lay her cards down on the poker table. "Worf," she said thoughtfully, "have you ever considered shaving?"
Worf's eyes flickered. "All Klingons have beards. It is a mark of our strength."
"Yeah-about that," Beverly said. "It seems all that makes a Klingon is just a bunch of superficial things like beards and swords."
Worf halted. "That is a superficial belief. Klingons have no fears."
"What does fear have to do with anything?" Beverly insisted. "Did I mention-I didn't even mention fear. You're just changing the subject, Worf."
Will laughed. "Yep, Worf's the Klingon who changes the subject."
Worf's eyes flickered again. "I do not change the subject. Now, can we get back to the hand?"
"I find the term 'hand' to be inefficient," Data said. "A hand is typically a humanoid body part. Wouldn't a more appropriate term be 'round' or 'game?'"
Everybody laughed. "Let's get back to the 'round' then," Geordi said, still laughing. "Worf, it's your turn."
Worf looked up at Geordi. "I am paying attention to the game, Geordi."
Deanna and Will glanced at each other and laughed. "Let's just go," Will repeated.
Worf laid his cards down. "Very well," he said. "But I was paying attention, Commander."
Did you like it? I wish you do. See? I started my A/N differently! That's a big achievement! It may not sound very good, but it's a big achievement anyway!
Well, it's time! Linley out.
Wasn't that cool! Okay, I'm not out...
Beam me up!
