"OMG you have to tell him!" Carly practically screamed.
"NO!" Sam said.
"But-"
"I am not telling him. He hates me!"
And that was the situation the girls were in now. Sam had just confessed that she may have a tiny crush on Freddie, after Carly had been bugging her about it all week. Apparently she had been acting 'Different' – Yeah, right. Sam, in her point of view, had been acting as normal as she probably could.
"He doesn't hate you!"
"Come on! Please just let it go!"
"Nope! Come on Sam, please. At least drop some hints!"
"But-"
"Drop hints or I tell Freddie myself."
"You wouldn't dare Carlotta!"
"Oh, but I would."
"Oh really?"
"Sure I would."
"Then- Fine."
"YEY!"
"But you owe me Shay."
"Why do I? This is for your benefit!"
"Oh, yeah. Well, I guess you don't own me anything."
"Girls?" They heard a voice from outside. Freddie.
"In here!" Carly called back. Freddie walked into the room. Carly and Sam were sat on the bed, and Freddie could tell they had been having 'Girl talk'.
"Hey Sam, Carly."
"Hey!" Carly said back.
"Sup Eddie?" Sam responded.
"Did you just call me Eddie?"
"I sure did, Eddifer."
"Eddifer? Do you have something against the 'Fr' at the beginning of my name?"
"No I do not."
"Then why are you calling him Eddie?"
"Do you have any ham in your fridge?" Sam asked Carly.
"Yeah.."
"I'll get it for you." Freddie said, and then got up without another word. Once Carly was sure he had gone down all the stairs, she turned to Sam.
"Why are you calling him Eddie?"
"You'll see."
"Sam tell me!"
"Nope. You'll figure it out soon enough."
"But Sam!" Just as Carly said that, Freddie walked into the room. He was holding a plate which had two slices of ham on it.
"Thaks Eddork."
"You're welcome Sam."
"Oh, I'm not Sam. I'm S."
"Es?"
"No. Sssssss."
"And what have you done with Sam?"
"I ate her."
"So, S, why is your name S?"
"Cos it's a hidden message."
"AHHHHHHHHHH!" Carly suddenly shouted in realisation. Sam looked at Carly. Freddie looked at Carly.
"What?"
"S and Eddie!" Carly blurted out. Sam cringed.
Freddie thought for a moment. "Seddie!" He concluded. "Wait, who's Seddie?"
"Our couple name, dipwad."
"Oh yeah. So why were you implying that?" Freddie asked. Wow. For a smart guy, he was so stupid.
"Cos I like you, ok? I don't know why. But I've been feeling these things. And when Carly told me to drop a hint I though ab-" Freddie cut her off by kissing her.
It was short, but perfect.
"I like you too Es!"
"Its Ssssssss!"
"Well I'm sorry."
"You should be! Pronouncing your girlfriends name is not a good sign in a relationship."
"Wait- Girlfriend? Relationship?"
"Yep. I now pronounce you Boyfriend and Girlfriend." Carly said.
"So…"
"So…."
"Wanna go get a smoothie?"
"Sure." Carly agreed. The three friends walked out of the door. What Carly didn't notice tough, was that Sam and Freddie's fingers were intertwined.
