Hi guys- it's my first time writing fanfiction for any show ever. Something about the backstory of Will and Alicia just compels me to put it down as words. Format is inspired by these types of fic which were popular a couple of years back. Feedback is appreciated- I'm still a very new writer.
1.
The first time was at the pool party. They were the only 2 left standing but for vastly different reasons. Her, because she refused to get drunk, him because he held his liquor well.
He had approached her, two beers in hand. "Well, since we are the last two, I figured we could try our best to join them." She looked up from the lounge chair and he could almost see her refusing.
But yet, she said yes.
Later that night, Will's roommate would shout at them, annoyed at their constant laughter- "Just get a fucking room already."
(When he asked her 'why yes' months later, she shrugged and said, "Well, it's college and orientation..." He was never quite convinced but he never figured out it was those puppy dog eyes of his.)
2.
The second time was when he had called her for the third straight night- 'strictly to discuss contracts'- but yet the conversation inevitably dissolved into them discussing whatever was on their minds, for a good three hours. They both knew there was only so much contract law to discuss for so many nights and the real reason for the calls but they both really did not mind.
On the forth night, Alicia's roommate Janet picked up the phone and rolled her eyes.
"Alicia, it's your boyfriend."
"He's not my boyfriend."
"Well, then stop giggling like small girl whenever he calls."
3.
The third time, Alicia had begged him to help pick out a gift for Peter's birthday. It was their first birthday together and she was determined to find the 'perfect gift', no matter how many times Will groaned that there was no such thing. He really did not want to stand around hearing Alicia obsess over Peter, but Alicia was Alicia. Whatever Alicia wanted, he was inclined to always agree.
"Will, what do you think of this? Come on, we really need to pick one." Alicia held out a boring plaid tie.
Before he could answer, the salesgirl swooped in. "I don't think it fits your boyfriend. Here, why not try this red tie?"
4.
The forth time was right after he offered her the job at Stern, Lockhart and Gardner and he had invited her out to celebrate. She really did not want to- Grace and Zach were waiting for her at home but he insisted.
"Come on, it will be fun. Just like all those post finals times."
When they piled into the cab after too many tequilas, the driver did not even think to ask for two addresses.
5.
The fifth time was in New York, when they were waiting to be let up to Ashbaugh's apartment.
"Alicia- hey!" They both turned- it was Janet. "Oh... And Will? What brings you two to New York?"
"Oh, hi Janet. We are... We are... Erm..." Alicia could feel Will's held on the small of her back.
"Meeting a client. We are meeting a client." Will smiled and stuck out his hand. "How are you doing these days, Janet?"
She just grinned triumphantly. "You know, just for the record, I always knew bet FOR you two in the pools. But I guess I won't be getting my 50 bucks."
