As he walked out of the best hospital in the Universe (which despite its fantastic reviews, still smelled like bleach) he hugged his wife to him, knowing that her mind would be begging her to go back into the other room.
"I can't believe I left my daughter, my best friend, my good friend and my very good friend's supposed, maybe, possibly future wife/girlfriend person in bed, in a hospital. And they're all the same person." She shook her head slowly, still not quite knowing or understanding what had happened.
"Really? I can't believe I've been out for a full day with the Doctor – and I haven't died once." He smiled at the shocked gaze she sent his way. "It's just not normal." He grinned at her.
She grinned back at him, before pulling at his collar for a kiss, "Well Mr Pond it may not be normal, but I prefer it that way." She laughed.
