A promise made under the stars:
Lloyd and Sheena were sitting under the stars in Heimdall. Sheena was happy that she could sit with Lloyd all alone.
"Hey Lloyd…aren't you scared…you know…about fighting Kratos?"
"Huh? Why would I be?"
"He's your father….I know I would be scared…having to face my parent in battle. But at least you know who your parents are……I was abandoned so I don't know who my parents are."
"Sheena….I sometimes wish I didn't know my parents."
Kratos was standing behind the tree watching his son and Sheena.
"Why would you say that Lloyd?"
"Then I wouldn't have to fight Kratos….and I wouldn't have to know my mother died to protect me."
Sheena looked at Lloyd. He looked upset saying that he wished he never knew his parents. Sheena hugged him and said
"I'm sorry I brought up the topic Lloyd"
Lloyd hugged her back and said
"Sheena…..after we save the world…do you want to go on a journey with me?"
Sheena looked up at Lloyd and said
"Is that a promise? Cause if you break that promise I'll make you swallow 1000 needles!"
"Whoa Sheena! I promise!"
They both laughed and looked into each others eyes. Sheena sat back down on the bench and said
"The stars are pretty tonight. There's a legend in Mizuho. When the night sky is filled with stars it means that there are people making promises. And when there is a shooting star it means that someone broke that promise."
"Wow…that's cool Sheena!"
Lloyd sat down next to her and handed her a handkerchief. Sheena took the handkerchief and opened it. When she looked inside her eyes filled up with tears.
"Happy birthday Sheena."
"Lloyd…how did you know it was my birthday?"
"I talked to the chief of Mizuho. He told me that your birthday is the day you were found. So I wanted to make you something…..even though its not that great."
"Lloyd its beautiful! Thank you so much!"
Lloyd looked happy that he could brighten her day. Sheena put on the necklace and looked into the sky.
"Hey….Lloyd…..do you believe in love?"
"Well…..yeah of course! Why….are you in love with someone?"
"Well…Lloyd….I wanted to tell you later but I want to tell you now! Lloyd I-"
Genis came from the Inn and yelled "LLOYD AND SHEENA GET BACK TO BED!"
Lloyd thought "Man! I really wanted to know who she is in love with……could it be-? No… it's probably Zelos." Meanwhile Sheena thought to herself "Damn it! Why did Genis have to ruin it?! I'm gonna get that half elf!"
