The wind hits him hard as he crosses the street and pushing his hands deep into his pockets he sighs. He realizes that it's colder then usually outside and he looks up to the sky as the snow starts to lightly fall down, covering mostly everything. He hates the snow. He hates how slippery it is outside, and how cold and numb the weather is. Now he hates that he's out here this late, alone. She had just let him leave. She never said a word to stop him, as much as he wanted her to she didn't. So now here he was outside on this beautiful New York night hating every step he takes that brings him further away from her. He passes a familiar park that is now white and even though he's cold he takes the turn into it. He remembers coming here with her one night. Christmas Eveā¦just like today on their first Christmas together. Taking a seat on the swing he looks around and thinks about how far they've come together and now how he's left her. Sighing again he curses himself and how cynical and stupid he is. Suddenly he hears a familiar voice and the softness of it warms him.
"John" he turns around and is met by her.
"What are you doing here?" he asks as he watches her walk closer to him.
"Is that seat taken?" she asks, the cold obviously affecting her.
"Nope" he says noticing this. She takes a seat next to him on the swing and it chain russels as a strong wind blows across the park picking up snow and throwing it around in a violent tornado. Once the wind stops John looks over to Olivia and see's her shiver, so getting up from his swing he takes off his coat and wraps it around her.
"Come on" he says helping her up. She follows him to the short distance to his apartment where John is about to go in but notices Olivia has stopped. "Aren't you going to come in?" he asks shivering.
"Not until we talk first"
"Can't we do that inside. I'm cold"
"No" she says simply. Sighing he walks down over to her carefully watching for icy patches. "I'm sorry" he says once he reaches her.
"No...I shouldn't of said it...it just slipped...and then I shouldn't have just stormed out afterwards. I do mean it though" he says grabbing her cold hands.
"Your wrong. I should have let you go...I love you too" and with those words he pulls her into kiss. The two just stand there and allow the snow to float down from the sky above on to them as they kiss. John breaks the kiss for air and asks.
"Can we go inside now?" Olivia smiles and hand in hand they go inside the warm apartment building.
