Summary: What happened after we faded to black in Two Bodies in the Lab

A/N: This is an episode fluff piece, fitting in my Bones Series. Or a stand alone.

Bones had just walked back into the room, he glanced between her and the television, and he looked at her questioningly before switching the channel to something less romantic.

She stood almost awkwardly at the door, "I rescheduled. My…my head still hurts."

Booth swallowed, the light from the hallway framed her, he glanced around the room, "Well you can watch TV if you'd like."

Tempe smiled softly, "Sure."

She sat down in the chair next to his bed, she tucked her legs underneath her, leaving the heels alone on the floor. She rested her head on his bed, and barely felt the warm flesh of his arm.

Booth grimaced, as much as he was enjoying their current positions, his arm was smarting, "Bones, arm," she sat back up, smiling apologetically, "Thanks."

They both turned to watch the television screen, "Hey Booth, want to go to Wong Foo's when you get out of here?"

Both didn't take his eyes from the episode of Friends playing, it was The One With The Blackout. He grunted in response and then realized what he had done, "Yeah, I'd like that, Bones."

Booth and Brennan both enjoyed the episode, even though, Tempe didn't understand even a fraction of the humor. Booth was feeling slightly unsettled as he identified with the squint, Ross. Stupid friend Zone, he really hoped he wasn't in the friend zone. His eyelids began to droop, and as the credits rolled, Bones rose and stretched.

"I should go, let you get some sleep," Booth mumbled something that had he been fully conscious, would have sounded an awful lot like a grown man whining for her not to go.

Bones smiled down at him, and moved to give her partner a hug; he struggled to sit up, and suppressed the groans. Tempe rolled her eyes; he never could take anything laying down. She brushed her lips gently across his warm, soft, ones and pulled back, "You saved my life, and I'll never forget that, Seeley."

She swallowed the growing lump in her throat and walked out of his hospital room. She walked unsteadily to her car; she sat slumped in the seat, her lips tingling from the brief contact. She would never have been so brave, if he weren't jacked up on morphine, and nearly asleep.

Back in the hospital, Booth winced as he lay down again, and groaned, from something far from pain, and closed his eyes, "Now I really regret getting blown up."

I was reading a fic for this episode, and I kept thinking, what if, Booth and Bren liked each other at this point, but they were to shy to tell the other….hehe. Hope you liked it, please review.
