Chapter 1
From the Beginning
Five students made their way to the deserted, Slytherin commonroom.
Blaize Zabani, Pansy Parkinson, and Draco Malfoy sat on the spacious, dark-green sofa filled with silver cushions. Vincent Crabbe and Greg Goyle settled themselves comfortably on the silver rug.
"Charity Carlson and Cedric Diggory broke up over the summer," Pansy informed the group, resting her head on Draco's shoulder. "Because Cedric cheated on her…"
"I know her…" Draco added, his gray eyes lighting up in recognition.
"The whole bloody school knows her, you idiot," Blaize snapped, his black eyes resting on the dying fire.
Crabbe and Goyle grunted in response.
"Cedric was her…eighteenth boyfriend…" Pansy continued.
"She sounds…irresistible…" Draco smirked.
"Alright then, Malfoy," Blaize began, his eyes held a mischievous glint. "I will pay you 100 galleons if you can make her fall in love with you by Christmas Vacation…and…if you fail, you owe me 100 galleons…"
Draco glanced at Blaize, thinking deeply.
"What happens after Christmas Vacation?" he asked.
"You no longer have to date her and you win 100 galleons," Blaize answered, smirking slightly.
Pansy rose from her position and stared intently at the two boys.
"Alright…" Draco finally agreed.
They both shook hands firmly as if finalizing the statement.
