Finger painting
Author Note: Hey! notanormalpie here with my second Jia! Enjoy!
Mia smiled as she watched the group of kids from the kindergarden in the park. The teacher wanted them to finger-paint the park, and they were certainly having fun with it. The teacher was chasing after a few paint -covered children, and it was funny to her.
"Hide us, lady!" a boy and girl ran up to her, ducking behind the bench. Laughing, the Pink Ranger reached to scoop them up. The boy dashed away, but the girl was caught.
Giggling, the young female sat in Mia's lap.
"What's your name, sweetie?" the Samurai asked her.
"Tiffany," the child replied, "and your name?"
"Mia," she smiled.
"Want to finger paint?" the girl asked.
"Sure," Mia wanted to keep her busy until the teacher caught the others.
The two females went over to Tiffany's stand, where two sheets of blank pieces of paper stood with endless possibilities to them, new finger-paint in a pile. Squirting some red on her finger, Tiffany started to work, her green eyes full of thought and her blonde hair pulled out of them.
Squirting out some red as well, Mia started to work. When the two were done, Tiffany had a jumble of lines and swirls. Mia had a circle of red and a circle of pink, connected.
"Is your boyfriend's favorite color red?" the six year old suddenly asked.
"More like my crush," Mia's cheeks turned her color.
"Why aren't you going out?" the girl asked.
"It's complecated," the midnight haired teen replied, "I don't think he likes me, too."
"If you don't ask, you don't know," the child advised, "where is he?" She noticed the older girl's gaze fall onto a coco-blonde boy with ice eyes.
Giggling, Tiffany whispered, "Just ask him." Then she dashed over to him before Mia could stop her and brought him over.
"Hey, Mia," Jayden greeted her, "having fun with your friend?"
Blushing red, the girl replied, "Yeah. We're finger painting."
Tiffany heard her teacher calling, and smiled, "Good luck. Bye!" She raced off, giggling innocently.
"What was she giggling about?" the Red Ranger asked.
"Um..." Mia wanted to tell him how she felt about him. Tiffany was right about the asking, but she wasn't ready...yet.
He raised an eyebrow, and she replied, "I told her about when I was a little girl her age."
Nodding, the boy got beside her, "So...you want to finger paint?"
Smiling, Mia held up the red paint. When he reached for it, she squirted it on his nose and smeared it around. Grinning evilly, he squirting the pink finger paint onto her nose and painted her name. The two were soon running around, squirting each other with paint and laughing like two kids.
Mentor about had a heart attack when they came home looking like they lost a war with paint. But they were soon cleaned up and enjoying movie night with the other Samurai. Mike and Kevin were plopped on the floor, and Emily was laying on Antonio on the couch.
Mia felt like a little girl sitting in Jayden's lap in the chair. When a scary part came on screen, she squeaked and buried her head in his chest. He held her tight before wiping some stray green paint hadn't gone down the drain.
Blushing, she made a mental note of what to buy tomorrow: Finger paint.
