Summary: During an offworld mission with SG-7, Daniel gets into trouble and is left behind, Jack is fit to be tied, SG-1 mount a rescue effort, but will Daniel want to be rescued?
Disclaimer: alas they're not mine, just borrowing them, will return them relatively unharmed, though I think I may keep Daniel all for myself, j/k. No money to be made here, sadly. Thanks to FCOL for the plot bunny.
Ch.1
Jack was bored, his favorite target for relieving boredom was Daniel, and he had gone offworld five days ago with SG-7 to play with rocks. Teal'c, he was sure was avoiding him, as he could not find him anywhere on base, and he'd spent hours looking. This had left Major Carter as his only option for entertainment, unfortunately for him, Carter was in the control room running a total system analysis. So he sat there, staring at the monitor, watching lines waving on the screen. He hadn't thought it possible, but sitting there watching Sam work, he was now more bored than he'd been when alone in his office. Just as he was about to go back on the hunt for Teal'c the alarms rang out.
"Unscheduled off world activation."
Jack and Sam stood up, and General Hammond entered the room.
"We have an unscheduled incoming traveler Sir." Stated the gateroom technician. "Receiving GDO transmission, it's SG-7."
"Open the iris."
"Ah Dannyboy's back, just when I thought I'd die of boredom."
Sam cast Jack an annoyed look.
"What?. . . I'm just sayin' I'm glad he's back. . . nevermind."
Teal'c entered the room just as the members of SG-7 began to emerge from the event horizon.
"Hey T, where've ya been?"
"I was busy O'Neill."
"Busy. . . as in?"
"Occupied with activity."
"Oh."
They watched as the fourth man walked down the ramp, and waited for Daniel to emerge, and they waited a moment more, still no Daniel. The members of the science team looked extremely nervous as General Hammond and Jack made their way down to the gateroom, followed by the remaining members of SG-1.
"Forget something did you Captain Durst?" Jack snarled.
Captain Durst looked at Colonel O'Neill, and then his boots, and back at the very visibly irate Colonel.
"Sir, we ran into some trouble with the planets inhabitants."
"Of course you did."
"Dr. Jackson told us he'd get it sorted out."
"Of course he did."
"So we left him there. . . he said. . ." Jack cut him off.
"What do you mean you left him there, turn your ass around and go get him back, NOW! Davis, dial that planet back."
"Ignore that order Sergeant."
General Hammond pushed Jack aside and looked at the very nervous Captain.
"Son, what has happened to Dr. Jackson?"
"We came across a village, Dr. Jackson tried to communicate with them, but he did not know their language, they seemed friendly."
"Oh yeah, I'm sure they did, and Daniel is where?" Jack growled.
"Colonel, let the Captain speak." The General sounded in. "Go on Son."
"They seemed friendly, they took us in, fed us great feasts, played music, he even danced with the chieftain's daughter. But then when we tried to leave this morning, they wouldn't allow Dr. Jackson to come with us. They pulled weapons, they had Zats and staff weapons, we were out numbered. Dr. Jackson said he'd be fine, told us we should just go." He looked up at O'Neill and waited for the impending doom he was sure would follow.
"Daniel danced?"
To be continued . . .
