Saying sorry…
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the pirates franchise EXCEPT a very scratched DVD of the first movie.
Summary: Is saying sorry ever enough? Elizabeth is about to find out.
A/N: sorry to all J&E shippers, if you are looking for that here, well you are in the wrong place. I proudly wave my flag that has a giant W&E forever on it in the middle of a fluorescent pink heart. J&E is slightly disgusting to me. I mean yeah I was totally shocked and slightly like 'Wow, you go Keira Knightly, you kiss that Johnny Depp!' but I am a Will and Elizabeth forever kind of gal all the way. He is just too old for her. So read on and please review.
Elizabeth's Thoughts
Saying sorry is a hard thing to do. When you have done something so terribly wrong that all you can think about is saying sorry to that person. Even if you never get the chance to say it. What is even worse is when you have to say sorry to two people. How do you say sorry to two people? One was bad enough. But TWO? Wow. That is tough. You think to your self that everything will be okay if you just say that you are sorry.
But it's not. Nothing is okay because you have still betrayed your one true love and kissed another man before shackling him to the mast so that you can save yourself . So is saying sorry enough? Especially when you happen upon your love in pain because of the whip lashes on his back, and you know that the only reason he has those whip marks, all crusty with blood and growing redder every minute they go untreated, is because of you. And when your love slips into a raging fever, you know it is because of you. Because he loved you enough to take those lashes for you. And when he slips into a raging fever, you know that it is because of you. And when he comes out of his fever, he looks at you with such pain that you just know that you broke his heart. Because you know that he saw the kiss between you and his really good friend. He doesn't look at you, he doesn't talk to you, and he doesn't touch you all because you betrayed him. So really, is saying sorry enough?
And how do you say sorry to a man that you chained to the mast of his ship that was about to be eaten by a giant sea monster? You might never see him again, and yet again you might. You have to sail to the ends of the earth for him and you must rescue him. And you hope that by rescuing him that it will be enough. Enough of a sorry to suffice for him being eaten by a giant sea monster.
So is saying sorry enough to repay the love and kindness one man showed you. Is sorry enough to cover killing a man? Is sorry ever enough?
The end. Hope you liked it. Please review and tell me honestly what you think!
