There was a mention on one of my boards of a challenge to write a drabble a day for November. There's no way I'd be able to do that, but I wondered if I could manage a drabble in EFC at all.
The Truth
By Barbara
Pain lashing across his nerves. Nerves stretched too thin by hours of pain. Screaming.
Stop.
No.
Please stop.
"Father, please, NO!" reverberates off the walls. Begging, words he swore never to say, a truth he had sworn never to reveal. "Sandoval, father, please..."
The shocks end, though damaged nerve endings take time to realize the fact, as residual pain ripples over overloaded pain sensors.
A pinprick, then another, and a descent into darkness.
Slow swimming to the surface... "found ... outside..."... "how did he get away"....
Voices he recognized, and the slow realization he was safe. How? His father?
The End?
Do you want another drabble sequel?
As for On Opposite Sides, I do intend to post more- I just have to get back into the habit of writing.
