"I don't think this is a good idea." Hermione whispered to Fred as they neared the dreaded Potion Masters chambers.
"Nonsense." He grinned down at her. "It will be brilliant. After all, you came up with it. Now come on. We need to be in there when the clock chimes midnight." He quickly pulled her into Snape's living courters. "It is only three till. Help me find his bedroom." The two poked around their fellow mentor's place of living until Hermione found a heavily warded room. She called him over softly. "Good job, love. And just in time, too." The clock started to chime to midnight just as they got the last of the wards off. "Do you know the spell?" Fred whispered to Hermione. She nodded and grinned slightly.
"On three." Fred nodded. "One… Two…Three! Happy forty-ninth Severus!!" Hermione and Fred shouted as bubbles that sang 'Happy Birthday' burst from their wands. Snape jumped out of his bed, wand drawn, and scowled at the singing pair. Hermione and Fred ran as fast as they could from the room, all the while singing and laughing with Snape yelling profanities at their back's. When they had stopped and Hermione had regained her breath she turned to her charming boyfriend. "Fred?"
"Yes, love?" Fred was still breathing slightly hard and was amazed that Hermione could be talking with such ease. "What is it?"
"That is the last time we take a dare from George." Hermione said, knowing that they would just be doing something like this again next week. Fred laughed with her before claiming her lips in a soft, loving kiss.
