Percy's pov

Annabeth and I were strolling casually along the beach, like we always did. She looked absolutely stunning, thanks to Juniper.

Little did she know, tonight would be forever special.

The moonlight beamed down, creating a halo effect around her perfect face. She caught my stare, and smiled at me. My heart sped up. Three years, and I still can't get used to the fact that she likes me. Well, loves me….

Sigh….

I remembered that night perfectly.

"Percy, what are you doing?" She asked, giggling as I pulled her into a hug.

I sighed. "Do you have any idea how much I missed you?"

"No…" She said, grinning as she got closer. "Show me…"

"No," I said, shaking my head.

"What?" She asked, confused, and hurt.

Dammit! That's not what I meant…I didn't just want to show her…I wanted to tell her…I needed words…but, what words were enough? What could I say, that would show how much I missed her?

"I love you…" I blurted, staring into her eyes.

She was statue still. I was panicking; I hadn't exactly thought that one through…

She startled me, by throwing her arms around my neck, and forcefully pressing her lips to my own.

"I love you; too…you have no idea…" She said, smiling brightly.

"I think I do." I said, kissing her gently.

My cheeks warmed at the memory. I looked down at Annabeth.

"So, what's on the agenda, Seaweed brain?" She asked, taking my hand.

"Annabeth," I said seriously. "I wanted to talk to you about something."

"Oh?" She asked, worried.

I nodded. It was now or never.

I looked into the trees, and saw Grover. He gave me the signal. Okay, good…it was time.

"Come on." I said, pulling her towards camp.

"Percy," She demanded. "What are you doing?"

"Hold on." I said, pleading silently.

I stopped once the Athena cabin was in sight. One of the windows was open. A speaker placed to face me. I glanced at cabin 3…my cabin, the same set-up. I looked between all the cabins. Good…It's ready.

I crossed my fingers behind my back, the signal to start the music.

(The Apollo cabin kids and Aphrodite kids fought over what song to play for weeks…they made a choice I could definitely live with.)

Soon, 'Marry you.' By Bruno Mars (I thought that was ironic) was playing.

"What the-" Annabeth said, confused.

I knelt down before her, my only love. She gasped, realizing what was happening.

"Annabeth," I said, swallowing. "I know it was an incredibly short time we were together, but I am so in love with you."

She was crying…her eyes gleaming with undeniable love.

"I never know where I'm going. I'm never sure of what to do…but, one thing I'm sure of…all I'm ever going to want is you. I know..That was cheesy…but, I mean it." I sighed shakily…readying myself for the last step.

"Annabeth Chase, will you marry me?"

She was choking from her tears, I stood, wrapping my arms around her. She looked up at me, smiling and tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Yes," She breathed.

My whole world spun…which is funny because my whole world was standing right in front of me, tucked in my arms.

I bent down and kissed her, breathing a sigh of relief.

"Gods, I love you." I whispered against her lips. Then I slipped the ring on her finger, and smiled.

"I love you, Seaweed-brain." She answered, pressing herself to me.

I looked to the sea, my home….a man in a boat, a fisherman it seems, smiled and winked at me. Then he was gone.
