Prologue

This story has to do with fear and love and the differences that they make with the lives of Sora and Kairi. Note that these characters are the property of Sony, Disney and Squaresoft. They are not of my imagination, except for Kallen. In the first chapter Sora thinks about himself and his friends in the third person. I'm mentioning this to lower confusion.

Chapter 1: Fear

Fear, what is it exactly, to me it's losing Riku and Kairi. To me it's seeing everything that I love and respect disappear before my eyes. Could it be that I'm not the great warrior that I thought I was? I was just courageous because my friends were in danger and because they meant something to me. I don't think I should have cared. In the end caring brought me pain and suffering. Sora you were stupid to care. Love sucked you up and shot you out. Like a dagger through the heart. Your life is reading letters written by those you used to care about. Why don't you just forget it? Let it all go Sora. Your life just threw itself away. Why don't you just give up on life? You have the keyblade. So just kill yourself and end it. Unless someone is holding you back. The love you thought you discarded. You could protect your heart. Life isn't always hopeless without being with the ones you love. Come on Sora choose. Live with half love or end what has already ended? Will you choose Sora? There's always a second chance. So will you use it? I will, I will, I will!

"Master Sora wake up! You have a visitor." The doorboy called. "Send him in." Sora replied. "Her. You mean Sir." The doorboy said.

Sora became very excited, he thought that maybe it was Kairi. He dismissed that idea because he knew it couldn't be.

"I'll go see her then." Sora said. "Good," The doorboy replied. "I need to clean the room anyway."

Sora opened the door and started walking down the hall. He couldn't believe his eyes. Aerith was standing there. Waiting for him.

"How are you?" Aerith asked. "Horrible." Sora replied. "Still thinking about what happened?" Aerith asked. "How can I stop, last night I again didn't sleep. I just kept thinking. The only new thing is that I thought about suicide." Sora told her. "I'm sorry Sora. Maybe this will cheer you up." Aerith said while giving him a letter. "I've got to go Sora. Goodbye." Aerith said that and walked out the door.

Sora went back to his room and laid on the bed staring at the letter.
