Chapter 1
Greathron Layke: *I watch as the human body I had lived in for years as I fall to the bed… a bottle of sleeping pills in my paw…*
Mom: Welcome back my young one.
GL: I know that voice *turns around and see two dragons… no… three… There was one out cold… the other two could only be...* Mom? Dad?
Mom: *smiles* My little one…
Dad: Damn it… I hope Will completes the other half then I won't have to go through with the Alpha's bet…
GL: *I sit up in shock* THIS WAS ALL OVER A BET? I WENT THROUGH HELL FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT? *I roar in outrage*
Mom: *I start laughing.* Told you he would react like that…
Dad: Son it was an experiment. It was that if we would place both you and your brother in the human world… With you having the better life but keeping you from having any true friends. The bet was that I said you would make it… but the Alpha thought that you would kill yourself and you did… I had it were you and your brother Will was able to get together for a little bit… I then bet that if you did die your brother would then follow you…
GL: *I look at him… barely able to breathe.* This was all a test… I had been right… But what about Will? My brother?
Mom: We just have to wait and see… now… how about you go get your rod Glory and go see Grace… you happened to come back on…
GL: *I Leap to my feet.* GRACE! SHE IS REAL! She is one of the only dragons that I remembered! She is my girlfriend right?
Dad: *I sit back in shock…* We can't find out how you remember some of this… since the alpha blacked both you and your brother's memories…
GL: Oh… I'll uh… go… *I turn around and walk away in a daze.*
