AN: This is my first fan fiction writing, so be gentle. It's not a fan fiction *pout* it's a poem. Anyways this is about Wesley's childhood past based on what we know for a fact from the show and what I've read from fanfic writers. Just a little bit angsty and sort of sad. PLEASE review.
And now presenting *me holding my breath in terror*…
Perfect
* "No father, please I'll be good, I'll be better."*
All those lonely hours
locked away under the stairs
No one held out a hand to you
Statues of angels you pray to
Tears burn down your soul
Emotions locked away for all those years
made to betray your destiny
forced to bury your identity
All too much for you to bear
Fear has stripped your soul away
left you within an empty shell
You long for what you couldn't have
forced down a path you weren't meant to take
forced to hide yourself and the way you want to be
"You were never good enough"
the words ring through you mind
Had to lock up your soul for all the rest of time
had to hide your fears, had to hide your tears away
Had to be the perfect son, had to be the perfect one.
