If Gotham is the ground,
Colorado is the sky
An aurora streaks the night,
As a vigilant bat flies
Over the souls lost to a man
Who claims he is the one with the painted smile
But true evil is not chaos
It is the man who takes it another mile

In heaven, I hope there's a dark knight
To protect the souls taken
In the public's horrified sight
In death, I hope there's innocence protected
By a man who'd risk his life
For the good of the city

In the shadows of the universe,
Far beyond the aurora in the sky
Chaos watches with no interest
As a man delivers bloody strife
The Joker stood for chaos, spontaneity and a show
This man stood only for the ending of lives

Let us not forget that there is dark everywhere
But there is also light
And a bat and a clown will always be enemies
But tonight, both mourn and support the same fight

I would like to give my condolences to those who know people who were killed in Aurora, Colorado that night, and I dedicate this poem to those who died or were injured. I hope nobody was offended by this poem in any way, and I ask politely for people who don't like this poem to not flame, because really, it's not necessary, even to those who end up hating this poem. Thank you for reading, and all our hearts go to the victims and their families at this time.

Also, if you haven't seen The Dark Knight Rises, I don't think we should be afraid to go see it. I haven't seen it yet, but I cannot wait to. I think we should all watch the movie for those who weren't able to finish what they were so excited for.
