After Joe McElderry had been dropped by record label SYCO Joe managed to get himself a few gigs all over England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland but after a while things started to slow and die down and it did not go unnoticed by his fans.
His fans were getting worried that Joe wasn't feeling like himself and they all went on Twitter to see if the rumours are true and they were true. So one person decided to hatch a plan to buy a club to have McElderry doing what he loves doing.
When McElJay did the research and calculations he went to the building society bank to get a loan to buy an old warehouse club in Buckinghamshire, McElJay had also designed and made his own Bar and seating area including doing all upholstery coverings for the VIP section, But he didn't do everything himself as he had managed to get a few people to help out.
About a month later although still decorating and bringing in the drinks supplies someone had leaked-out on twitter to Joe McElderry 'there's a new club opening soon that you could sing at for your gigs.' A few days later He tweeted back 'that's amazing!'
She then tweeted back 'I'm not sure of the full details exactly you will have to ask the owner'
The next day Joe tweeted and asked 'anyone know of this new club opening soon, I want to sing there'
McElJay saw Joe's tweet and was shocked that the news of his club had been leaked already, but he was not complaining he just took the time to reply back to Joe saying 'I am the owner of a new club called GleefullJ's in Buckinghamshire and the Grand Opening is in about 2 weeks'
'That be amazing McElJay' Joe replied
'Yeah I hope so, I will let you know the actual date nearer the time Joe' McElJay tweeted back
After a conversation with Joe the day seemed to have dragged on longer than usual, but McElJay knew he could not stop and procrastinate any longer for he had to make preparations and arrangements.
Everything was starting to come together in the club as the stage had reached completion and was tested to the highest possible health and safety standard and the rest of the furniture was placed around the stage as it was situated in the middle of the floor.
Finding staff was not a problem for McElJay as he found out that there were a few people from Twitter willing to work that saw the conversation between himself and Joe, so McElJay checked his messages on twitter to see who they were, the first one was LoiuseMcElderry asking to be part of the team followed by LauraLJ91 and her sister RachaelJ1994 then Chlo_18.
McElJay replied to them all saying 'sure you can the Grand Opening will be Friday 26th August 2011 hope you can make it.'
He then sent the grand opening date to Joe 'Hope you can make it here on time'
Afterwards McElJay started to spread the word of his club on Twitter, Facebook, posters and word-of-mouth saying 'GleefullJ's will be opening soon please come'
He then received a few replies back on twitter and he viewed the messages. The first one is from JenMcElderry18 saying 'I 'm on me way and will be there waiting.'
AshleighLvsJoeM tweeted 'If joemcelderry91 is singing there I'm so going to be attending'
'Can I be on the VIP list please?' ZoeW96 said
GraceMcElderry and Staceyluvsjoee tweeted McElJay the same thing saying 'I would like to be put on the list to meet Joe please thanks'
As the opening date was drawing near McElJay constantly went back to GleefullJ's to check the supplies and everything else sorting out any paperwork on his laptop and backing-up files and almost every night he sat in the VIP section next to the stage with a glass of Rose wine and chilled out replying to his messages on Twitter and Facebook and adding updating his guest list for the opening night. One night he was sat down he noticed a silhouetted figure coming closer and he thought to himself 'who could this be at this hour' then the voice said "I'm looking for a McElJay, do you know where I can find him?"
"You found him, McElJay is me pleasure to meet you…Er" McElJay greeted and looked up and "Er…Joe McElderry it's great to finally meet you" he finished his sentence.
"I know I'm early but I just wanted to check out GleefullJ's club and get the feel and atmosphere" Joe said
"I'm glad you could make it and had a safe journey, you look like you need a drink, what can I get you?" McElJay said and asked.
"Oh thanks and I will drink whatever you're having" Joe said
So McElJay poured two glasses of Rose wine and set it down on the table and got chatting to Joe about all sorts and had a laugh.
Towards the end of the night McElJay offered Joe a place to stay "Have you booked a hotel room yet at all cause if you haven't you're welcome to crash at mine?"
Joe thought about it for the moment and said "That's very kind of you and yeah I would love to"
McElJay then drove back to his place and carried on talking till late, then jetting Joe sleep in his bed whilst he slept on the air mattress.
The Morning after McElJay woke up to a phone call from the police and he shot up in shock.
