History has always had a tendency of repeating itself… It happens with many things and people, but most often it happens to lovers…
Take James Potter and Lucius Malfoy for instance. They were seemingly rivals or even enemies, but looks are deceiving and in secret the two loved each other more than anything else in the whole world…
But then the reality came crashing down – one of them was a Gryffindor, the other a Slytherin; one was a member of the Order and the other a Deatheater.
And even if they held each other dear they let go and turned their backs on each other, never showing love for the other again…
Though there were times when love won over masks and responsibility. Like the time, when James died, Lucius hadn't cried more in his life and it seemed that his life would never have any light in it any more…
As for how history repeats itself… it must be difficult to understand it at this point, isn't it? But let's change the generation and talk about Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy… Those two too seemingly despised each other more than anything in this whole world, but as with their fathers looks are the most deceiving things in the universe and when no one else saw and when no one else heard Draco and Harry would love each other.
Though it wasn't long until their ways were ripped apart by the upcoming war, young Draco was forced into the lines of Deatheaters and Harry had to fulfil his duty as the Boy-Who-Lived…
From there on there was nothing more between those two, though love can't be forgotten or given up, so from time to time their minds would wonder to each other, only to be reminded of what could have been…
Now as those two times the Potters and Malfoys haven't had the chance to join in the public, there is also a third generation… Albus Severus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy, the two of them were the most infamous couple of their time in Hogwarts – for one it was because they were from the two families that had always used to hate each other (at least on the outside) and secondly because Albus had ended up in Slytherin…
And as their fathers and grandfathers had ended up without their lovers in the bitter end Albus and Scorpius were special, they stayed together.
As Harry, Draco, Lucius or even James – from wherever he is – look at Albus and Scorpius they can't deny the tears in their eyes and the thought of "That could have been us in," their minds.
So, as you see, history repeats itself, but even though most times are sad and angsty when that happens then there are a few, very rare times when it's a good thing that history repeats itself…
