There was nothing like eating ice cream on a rainy day. It was easy to get lost in layers of fudge, banana, and creamy goodness while the wind, thunder, lightning, and drizzle continued outside - or, at least, it had been when she'd been younger. Now, the storm brought too many memories with it. She recalled eating banana splits in this same booth with Illyana, Piotr, and Doug and spending rainy evenings in bed with Rachel, Illyana, and Wisdom. She had too many ghosts.
"Coo." Lockheed licked his best friend's cheek but couldn't chase away her sorrows falling like the rain.
