She rested her elbows against the edge of her balcony, gazing up to the sky. This very night seemed so painful to her, the many memories of her beloved so many years ago scarred into her mind like a permanent marker. But this mark would surely not evanescent.

Too weak to look outside, she decided it had to be done. Going downstairs and sitting at her desk, she quickly grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and attempted to write him and a letter, and she wrote down exactly what she wanted to say:

Dear Sasuke,

I dream about you everyday.

My regrets are never telling you what I've always wanted to say.

Even as my memories replay,

I'll never forget what happened that day.

The sky seems to cry,

as snow falls from the grey clouded sky.

As nightfall grows nigh,

memories of you seem to mystify.

White puffs of snow pile quickly to the ground

like our relationship did,

but strangely silent, without a sound.

My dreams of you are unreal.

Your touch, smell, and feel,

give me feelings I cannot conceal.

Placing her pen down, she knew that was all she could say. Folding the paper once, she placed it carefully into the envelope and sealed it with her family's seal.

She walked up to her family's messenger bird, Akane, and whispered softly to the colorful bird, afraid her parents might hear, "Send this letter to the one I love. If you cannot find him, look for him from the stars above. He is somewhere out there. I can feel his despair."

Taking the letter, Akane flew up into the grey clouded sky, disappearing into the night. Several hours later, there was still no sign of her coming back. She looked into the night, seeing no one in the distance.

Several hours later, she heard a faint knocking coming from her window. Thinking it was the breeze, she sighed and sat back down on her bed, falling asleep quickly, but before she could something quickly caught her eye. A dark blue envelope slowly fell from the barely open window onto the plush carpet floor.

Excitement ran up her spine as she quickly snatched the letter and turned it over. Sure enough, the Uchiha symbol sealed the envelope perfectly. She slowly opened it and found a letter and something else she couldn't quite recognize and took it out carefully. Inside her palm held a small golden chain that shined in the moonlight of her room. Without hesitation she put on the chain quickly and opened the letter to read:

Dear Hanako,

I have fond memories of your liking to snow.

Your beauty shined out from the others, like a rainbow.

I feel saddened that you had to watch me go.

Though time has past,

I will always love you, it will always last.

The snow glimmers here, with every breath I take.

The sky surprises me every morning I awake.

I, too, cannot conceal my feelings.

All this time to see you was what I was longing.

Dreams can go fairly far, yet your goals can go farther.

The white puffs falling from the now darkened sky whisper to me to find you.

I promise I'll be there. I'll see you soon.

Sincerely, Sasuke Uchiha

Tears streamed down her face, and with joy she ran out to her balcony and whispered to the snow, "I'll see you soon, Sasuke." The snow came down faster then, and she heard a much closer and familiar voice, as if he were right beside her. "I'm more closer than you think, Hanako."
