Hey everyone! Please don't hurt me for not updating my original story My Teacher The Dog *covers my face from flying objects* I know I come and go a lot but I got something for my birthday that I think will make me want to type more stories and maybe update the ever lasting one more. I think I'll let that one be the one I go back to when I have writers block though because I want to type other stories and I don't want to loose those XP
Anyway I hope you like this story! I don't know if it's a one-shot yet or not so let's see how this goes!
"Come on Kagome hurry up!"
"Ugh! I'm coming InuYasha calm down!" Gosh I'm almost right behind him and the others and he's just being a big jerk.
It was only a simple day for me when we were roaming around the country side here in feudal Japan, until InuYasha's brother showed up out of the blue from behind me.
"Sesshomaru what are you doing here!" InuYasha glared at his brother who was still behind me for some reason.
"That is none of your concern half breed. I have business with the miko." And just like that I disappeared from the InuYasha, Miroku, Sango, Kirara, and Shippo.
Sesshomaru had captured me so fast that I didn't even realize we were in a different area until he spoke up to me.
"Tell me miko, is what in this scroll like thing to be true?" I looked down at what he held in his hand and saw my history book I had lost after our final battle with Naraku. I couldn't help but laugh to myself that he actually found and read it.
I was startled out of my train of thought from a low growl, "I know you are from the future miko, now answer this Sesshomaru."
I giggled a little bit, "Yes Sesshomaru it is all true, but why do you ask?" He looked at me with an expression I couldn't really put my finger on since I never seen many expressions on him in the first place.
"Have you not read all that is in here?" I looked at him very confused. "No I have not." I walked over to him, "What did you read that has made you act this way Sesshomaru?" He looked at me with a puzzled expression I could most obviously read.
"It talks of us in it." Oh, he found the story about us defeating Naraku. I looked at him for a moment before replying, "Yes, it has story of the battle with Naraku in it. What's wrong with that?" He shook his head and sat down and began running through the pages of the book. When he found the page he wanted to show me he handed it over.
I looked down and read the title. The Cold Crescent and The Warm Heart, I don't think we ever read that story in class. Because I never saw it in class I began to read out loud to myself.
"Once there was a beautiful miko with flowing black hair, she was known through out all of Japan for her purification powers and her warm heart. She was different from other mikos because instead of wearing a white and red hakama, she wore a white and electric blue one. No one ever asked why though because they saw it suited her better. The miko would travel across the lands and help anyone in need with her companions. But one day while her companions were away she was met by the inu demon Lord of the Western Lands. He needed her help from a revolution of youkai who wanted to over throw him. Although he was very powerful, there were far too many for him and his army to stop alone..."
"Skip a few pages." Sesshomaru made it obvious that this was not what he wanted me to see, but he wouldn't look me in the eye while saying it for some reason
I sighed, "Show me which part you want me to see then." I handed him the book and he went over two more pages before then pointing at a paragraph. "There."
I began reading out loud some more from the area he selected, "Everything was as it should be, the miko was soon to leave after all that time with the Western Lord. On the last night she was to stay there, the Lord had asked for her company one last time. She accepted and he took to the skies with her to a private place he only knew of. The place had been a mountain side with a gigantic waterfall that seemed to have a glistening effect in the moonlight. After an hour of talking and sharing each others thoughts the Western Lord stood the miko up and got down on one knee and asked for the miko to be his mate forever. Taken by surprise from the usually cold inu she once knew, she bent down on both of her knees as well and gave the most passionate kiss to him and whispered yes to the now warm hearted Western Lord." I didn't know what to think or say after that. I just waited for Sesshomaru to say something. Which, he thankfully did, "Miko. You wear a white and blue hakama."
I looked up at him with a blush across my face, "I know, and everything in here should all be true."
It sounded like he snorted before he said, "Ridiculous."
I laughed lightly and then said the only thing I could think of, "Well, let me know when you need my help." And right when I finished that sentence InuYasha broke through the trees and into the clearing.
He ran up to me, "Kagome are you alright? What did the bastard do to you?" I smiled, "Nothing InuYasha, let's get back to the group before it get's too dark out here."
Right before we left though I heard Sesshomaru speak up, "I guess I will miko."
