DISCLAIMER: I do not own Pokemon

I sat at the edge of Lake Verity with Lucas. It had been three days since the incident, and he was still depressed as hell. Humans are strange when it comes to romance. Even though what that Murkrow said had hurt, I still don't see why he was still whining over it.

"Hey Dawn", Lucas greeted the professor's assistant. Dawn let out an annoyed sigh before putting on a fake smile and replying.

"Lucas! How are you?" Lucas could sense that something was off about her. Then he figured out what it was as her Murkrow, resting on her shoulder squawked.

"So this is crazy forest boy?" Lucas glared at the Murkrow.

"Come again?"

Dawn, the naive trainer she was, repeated the question.

"I said how are you?" Lucas hissed back at her:

"Not you, the bastard on your shoulder", Dawn gasped in shock at this, Murkrow was the sweetest little thing ever in her books.

Murkrow continued shoving his foot farther into his beak.

"You were right Dawn, he's crazy, he's a filthy little forest boy".

"Well then" Lucas said, his face turning almost as red as the face of his companion Scizor.

"This filthy little forest boy will just leave you alone then".

He then left, Scizor trailing behind. Dawn was amazed. He had figured out the nickname that she called him behind his back. How the hell had he managed that. After contemplating it she realized who he learned it from. Murkrow. Frankly, Dawn was shocked. When professor Rowan told her he could understand Pokemon, she thought he could become friends with them easier or something, she never knew that he could hear every word of what they say. Dawn contemplated chasing after him, but decided it was best just to leave him be.

"I just don't get it Scizor, what did I ever do to her".

I looked deep into the water, hoping to find an answer. I remained silent. We sat for a few minutes before Lucas stood up.

"I have an idea Scizor" he said, exited.

"Do I want to know?"

"Listen, we catch a boat to the Isshu region from Snowpoint City".

"Isshu, that place that Professor Araragi told you about when she visited?"

"That's the one".

"I'm in".

This suddenly got exciting, we were going on a big vacation, free from heartbreak, and free from that bastard Murkrow.
