The reason for wing fics.
Do we write Sherlock with wings,
So he may not fall to fly
But rather truly fly?
Do we write of a John with wings,
So he may catch Sherlock,
Flying off with him
With him forever?
Sherlock, our love for you cries out,
"Don't jump, don't fall!"
Fly, fly, fly away.
Fly away with Doctor Watson,
Away from Moriarty,
From the idiots and Anderson.
But don't forget precious John,
Who will cry when you fall,
Who prays for you to return.
Wings for Sherlock to make him fly,
Wings to John to save him swiftly.
Because flying,
Is nothing like falling.
