A/n: Yep, I'm back! I haven't written Iron Man fanfiction or any fanfiction in ages, and I thought I'd try once more. So, I apologise if this is awful, however I needed some therapy and hence decided that Pepperony would do perfectly.

I'd love to know what you think of this, so please leave a review! It means a lot. It's pretty short, but what can I say? It's short and sweet.

Merry Christmas Pep

Tony, as usual, was tinkering away down in his workshop, oblivious to the outside world. It was his little safe haven, his workshop, the place where only 3 people could access – himself, Pepper and Rhodey. It made him happier to know that this room at least was under his control. Mind you, his control seemed to be a very ineffective thing, judging from the state the room was now in – thanks, of course, to Pepper. She was currently transporting what must only be the world's largest supply of Christmas decorations down the stairs, with help from the traitorous Dummy (Tony swore he would come to regret the day he made Dummy, and here was the final proof, at last).

"You know, I don't see why we need all these decorations, Pep." Tony whined to his girlfriend, without looking up from his piece of tech he was altering.

"Because it's Christmas, Tony, and since you're such a loving boyfriend you're so kindly letting me put them up." Pepper replied sweetly, her sarcasm not going amiss from Tony.

"But why here?" Tony asked, not caring that he was sounding like a 5 year old.

"Just accept it. Now come here and help me with the lights."

Grudgingly, Tony put down his tech and walked over to Pepper, who promptly handed him the Christmas lights. He reached up and wrapped them round the parts of the tree Pepper had missed, and when he had finished, he turned them on. At Pepper's squeal of delight, his heart seemed to warm. He suddenly found that maybe, just maybe, Christmas wouldn't be too bad this year.

"You see, I told you Christmas can be fun." Pepper said softly, noticing Tony's small smile. She wrapped her arms around his neck, and kissed him gently on the corner of his mouth.

"I know, Pep. You know I never had a great experience of Christmas from my parents, so I guess I'm still just a little hostile to the whole occasion." He led them to the small couch, whilst Pepper grabbed two Santa hats as they went. Placing one on both of their heads, she smiled at Tony who shyly grinned back. She knew that, at times, he really was just as insecure about certain things as the next person.

Kissing him gently, Pepper said, "Merry Christmas Tony."

"Merry Christmas Pep."

A/n: Merry Christmas everyone!
