well that`s unfortunate.
After a long day of mining, when your back aches from swinging your pick, and you`re just exhausted, all you want to do is go home and rest, right?
Well some people aren`t fortunate enough to do that.
In fact, you could say that they are positively unfortunate.
Take Steve, for example.
He`s just your average Joe- or in this case Steve- but he is terribly unlucky.
He`s always being chased by Creepers, or zombies, or being shot at by skeletons.
And sometimes, on really bad days, he`ll find diamond, only to be blown up by a Creeper, or shot into the lava by a skeleton.
Today was one of those days.
He woke up, feeling good.
This was going to be a great day.
(Spoilers: The day doesn`t turn out so great.)
So Steve grabs his pick, and sets off towards the cave system he`s been mining in recently.
He spends the next few hours just walking back to where he was just yesterday.
The place where he spotted diamond, but his inventory was full.
So he looks around, and sees the sparkle of diamond.
With a grin, he starts chipping at the block, hurriedly grabbing it and putting it into his inventory when it pops out.
He finds two more, and gleefully collects them as well.
"I was right! Today is a great day!" He comments as he starts toward the surface.
He hears a telltale hissing behind him, and quickly spins around, hacking wildly at the Creeper he knows is there.
He kills it, mercifully unscathed.
"I better get up there soon!" He starts walking faster, getting back as quickly as he can without hurting himself.
Finally, he can see light, and steps his pace up even more, climbing with renewed vigor.
He steps out into the open air, inhaling the cool air deeply.
With a satisfied sigh, he starts toward his house.
Night has fallen by the time he`s able to see the comforting torchlight.
He slows down, suddenly tired, and then an arrow slams into him from out of nowhere.
It takes down three of his hearts, and he curses under his breath as he scans the trees for the offending skeleton.
He finally spots the bony bastard, and runs at him, taking another arrow in the process.
With a mighty swing, he dispatched the skeleton.
Why isn`t his health regenerating?
Oh, that`s right, he ate the last of his food a few hours ago.
He sighs again, this time in exasperation, and starts walking back towards his home.
He`s a mere ten feet away when soft hissing comes from behind him.
He starts to run, but it`s too late.
With a BOOM, Steve is dead, and respawns in his house.
He rushes outside, and picks up all of his stuff.
Steve looks through his inventory, sees that his diamonds aren`t there.
Worriedly, he runs around, looking for the gleam of the light blue stone.
Finally he realizes something.
The Creeper blew it up.
He sits down and puts his head in his hands.
As if to add insult to injury, another Creeper comes and kills him again, but all of his stuff makes it out 'alive' this time.
As he trudges to bed, discouraged and disheartened, he thinks one thing:
Well... that`s unfortunate.
