Here I am alive

What will they think? How will I trust them, and them me? After what they did and what she said? I don't know. I had a perfect world, all I had wanted. And yet they still ruin it. They always interfere, always.

Standing on the boundary, the two of us, the boundary between heaven and hell. The only true place to loose my trust. A step forward into darkness and regret or a step back into acceptance and light? Only seconds to decide, and yet I felt as if it wasn't our choice.

A step forward, or was it back? Too many emotions, a blank façade, a cold face, the only greetings they deserved and all they should expect. Someone spoke and anger burns through me.

"What did you say?" I said in a calm voice.

"I said your weak, you do not deserve the land you set foot on." A snide voice came from the small crowd baring the way into camp.

I see Zoe's face contort with barely controlled hate but I put a hand on her shoulder before she starts anything.

Taking a proper look at who spoke I saw a tall boy with elfin features, a mimic of a traitor I once knew. He is surrounded by my old friends and comrades and looks to be who they look up to. He replaced me?

"I fought for every inch of ground that makes up this pathetic camp; yet when I come back to save it I am told that I do not deserve it?"

"There is a reason we exiled you," the traitor look alike smirked.

"And that reason is no longer valid," Zoe hissed.

"And who might you be pretty one?" he said in a sickly sweet voice.

Zoe flinched but before she could do something that she would regret I laid my hand on her shoulder. Deciding the best course of action was to ignore him I asked the crowd as a whole "Where is Chiron, he is the reason we are here."

But before anyone could answer, a large thump was heard in the distance. Ignoring all the cries of shock from the campers, the two of us ran towards the direction of the sound.

Another loud thump and a golden crack started to lazily make its way up an invisible dome above us. Within a few seconds the whole sky was interlaced with brilliant golden threads and a sharp humming filled the air.

Oh no.
