Okay first thing…there are a few changes in this Fanfic that are non-canon and there are a few things that I decided to make as an extinction.

1. - (Obviously, that's the point of this Fanfic) Sirius wasn´t sent to Askaban, and he´s going to raise Harry

2. - Regulus isn´t dead, neither is he a death eater (any longer) he´s just doing some time but not forever.

3.-The Potter Family being so ancient do in fact have a house-elf that belonged to Charlus and then to James…the elf is called "Kelp".

4. - they will live close to the Dursley´s.

5. - (just so you know) this is not a Remus-Sirius slash thing, they aren´t lovers they are just BFFs and they have both other lives. I have nothing against pairing and slashing but i simply am not going to make it; when pairing i like to be as close to canon as possible.

6.-this isn´t a porno.

7.-there will be a few original characters.

8.-I don´t own anything, JK Rowling does (if i owned anything i wouldn't be writing a Fanfic).

War-Debris

Prologue

The … murderer Sirius Black is about to get sent to Azkaban for the crime against the honorable James Potter (Son of Charlus Potter and Dorea Potter) and his wife Lily Potter.

That was that was the title on the prophet, he knew he was innocent and yet he was going to Azkaban instead of the true Traitor. Peter Pettigrew who had grew up with him.

Sirius could remember all the times when he and Prongs had saved Pettigrew from the Slytherin Death-Eaters wannabes like Malfoy and Lastrange.

Thanks to James and him, Pettigrew had enjoyed himself with the privileges of being a Marauder…that pretty much meant to rule Hogwarts along with them, and yet that filthy rat had betrayed him and James, them who had saved his neck more times that Sirius could count. Bloody Bastard, Sirius thought bitterly…one way or another he would have revenge.

The two apes that where going to put chains on him before dragging him to Azkaban stopped when Sirius heard a familiar voice…Dumbledore was there suddenly waving a paper and screaming as loud as he could "Don´t move him yet, there will be a trial…Crouch has ordered a trial".

Crouch loved to send wizards and witches to Azkaban for free; Death Eaters or no…being a death eater was only the pretext, but even the ministry of magic had to answer to Albus Dumbledore who was the best and most powerfull wizard alive.

Albus wasn't a member of the ministry, neither was he particularly known for being in politics but there were two things about Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore that evryone in the magical community knew; first...he was never wrong, and second...Dumbledore was the only wizard that Lord Voldemort himself ever feared.

The guards dragged him to a chimney and there they used Floo-Powder and suddenly they were in a court room at the Ministry, he saw in there his other best friend; Remus Lupin, Hagrid, Professor McGonagall, the Auror Astor "Mad-Eye" Moody and the squib that Sirius thought was his first witness, all in the right side of the benches…they were on his side.

On the other side there were a couple of old ministry Wizard-Court judges that Sirius did not recognized; and one he did. He was the chief of the Magnum Court of Justice; of the British Magical Ministry, Sir Aelurus Pontius, a man that resembled a bobcat in an odd way, he had a shaved head and a beard of three different colors that spliced in two like a Bobcat's sideburns.

all of Sirius's friends presented evidence to prove Sirius innocence but the most valuable had been a squib who had seen Peter actually tell the dark lord the place where the Potters had been, after a long trial and enough verita serum to make the whole army of death eaters spill their beans, Sirius had at last been declared innocent but before leaving court there was another thing he needed to say "There is one last matter that concerns to me and I believe is of great importance", the minister then with the face of someone on a hurry said "Well then speak".

"It is the matter of the custody of Harry James Potter" the room went silent, "it has been discussed that Harry shall live with his maternal uncle and aunt…the muggles Petunia Dursley and Vernon Dursley, who are his closest blood relatives and therefore…" Dumbledore could not finish his speech, "Yes, I am aware of that, however it is in the last will of James Potter that given the case that something happens to him, Harry's custody will be on my name and as it turns out to be…something did happened, and I have been proven an innocent man, haven't I? therefore it is I, Sirius Orion Black…who should and must by the law and by James's will take full care and custody of little Harry", neither the minister, McGonagall or even Dumbledore had anything to say, Moony then broke the silence "The law clearly speaks in favor of Sirius, who is now by the right of the law…Harry's father"….the minister nodded "Very well then, Sirius Orion Black is freed of all charges and will from now on take full custody of Harry James Potter and due the fact that the other remaining living Black is a death eater who is currently in Azkaban…he shall also get the Black Family fortune in Gringotts, when he reaches the age of 17 and when Sirius Orion Black III is no longer in life to use this fortune…Anything else?"…"No" thought Sirius but he didn´t said anything, he didn´t liked to talk about Regulus, neither he did liked to speak about James…but he had made James a promise and he would look upon Harry, there was also an unspoken promise to avenge James…to kill the traitor Pettigrew with his own hands, Sirius who had always thought himself a man of word would raise Harry the best way he could; he would raise and provide for Harry James Potter (his beloved godson) and kill the filth, Peter, whom he had thought as a friend in the past. And he would do all of this because there was already a promise he had failed to manage…the promise he had made to his uncle Alphard to not let Regulus become a death eater…he had failed that one, Regulus was now in Azkaban.

Either way, Sirius would do everything he had promised now.
