Gone, Or Not?
Severus Snape was the happiest man he'd ever been at this current moment in his life now. He had finally been let off of his charges from the war and released from his short stay in the wizard prison Azkaban. Lucius Malfoy and many other former Death Eaters had watched him go with utmost hate, which he was proud to say he was of actually because they all deserved to rot in that hell. Severus had also captured the man of his dreams throughout the last part of the on-going war and now with Tom Riddle finally vanquished; they had married and was ready to show the world that they truly belonged together forever.
Severus and his husband married under the moonlight of the gardens at Snape Manor in the Spring of 1998; one year after his spouse's graduation from Hogwarts and his release from the accursed prison. It was a beautiful time to wed there as he had some cherished Cherry blossom trees in his gardens and they were in full bloom with all the flowers he knew his intended loved. That was the whole reason he had had his family home cleaned, re-furbished, and decorated. His intended spouse in one Harry James Potter-Snape.
Severus and Harry were now holding a gala at the home and Severus was introducing him to the Lords and Ladies of Britain that were Light-sided and had come out of hiding after the war. Everyone was thrilled to finally meet their Savior and came bearing gifts of thanks for the tremendous deed he had done for all of them here. Harry sighed in much aggravation of the whole situation he was in at the moment. Didn't Severus know and remember that Harry hated all this unwanted attention? Didn't he care about his well-being at all?
"Severus, can I have a word privately outside, please?" Harry asked of him.
"Of course you may, Harry." He said a little concerned.
They stepped out onto the outside patio.
Once outside Severus started, "What's wrong, mon amour?" Severus asked.
He asked this softly as he ran a hand down Harry's face in comfort.
Harry glared at him and Severus felt uneasy, "Severus...you know as well as I do that I hate all this unwanted attention these people are shedding unto me. The gala is well enough for the most part, but it would be better if it ended soon as I am not much of a socialite anymore. I'd rather just be in yours and Draco's company right now." He hissed at him.
Severus sighed; he had known this.
"I know that Harry, but you must introduce yourself to them at least otherwise it would be impolite of us to call it to an end without greeting everyone." He said unsure.
Harry glared daggers of a painful death upon him, "If you don't stop this gala soon, then you will find my wedding band on the kitchen counter and myself gone from your life Severus Snape and neither of us want that at the moment."
Severus paled drastically and tried to think of something he could do, but he ended up nowhere with any ideas.
He sighed in acceptance, "Go to our rooms, Harry. I will be a long shortly after I dismiss them." Severus stated.
Harry nodded silently and left the back way there from the patio.
When Severus returned to their chambers, it was too quiet there and something was amiss; there was no sign of Harry at all within their chambers. Severus was starting to well up with fear and panic deep with himself until he noticed some parchment laying on top of his pillow on the bed. Severus rushed to get the piece of parchment from his bed pillow.
Severus,
Draco flooed me after I got there; Hermione needs help with Alexi, so I went to help.
Come and find me when all of them are gone.
Harry
Severus sighed in relief and smiled to himself.
Harry hadn't left him; he just went to Malfoy Manor for a breather from everyone.
