Me: Hello everyone! So this is mine for the First kiss prompt Exchange Challenge. I hope that you guys like it! Oh! And just for fair warning, this is a OcxAtem story, so if you don't like it, don't flame. Other then that, I don't own Yugioh. I jump the fence and play in the sandbox. I do own my Oc though.

"His door is closed behind me. It's staying closed.

He's letting me go.

I think I've made myself very clear, but no one's stepping forward to stop me.

A lot of you cared, just not enough. And that...that is what I needed to find out.

And I did find out.

And I'm sorry."

―Jay Asher, Thirteen Reasons Why [Sent by Calloniel]

Tenionia blinked as she stood with her eyes wide and her mouth hanging open. Atem looked... She wasn't sure how to describe the look on his face. It was loving, something she wasn't used to seeing.

"Tenionia, if you don't feel the same why I do, then I understand. I will always be your friend." He turned and began to walk down the hall with his shoulders hanging forward. The princess clenched her fists. Many of the people that she had met had cared for her, but not enough to admit that they loved her. She was afraid to open her heart. She rubbed her arm and watched him as he walked away. There was a lump in her throat that was very uncomfortable. She sighed.

"Oh, now what?"

Tenionia shifted nervously as she stood off to the side, watching as couples danced. The princess lightly chuckled when she spotted Isis and Seto dancing. Atem was dancing with one of the daughters of the noble and was looking very awkward while doing it. Tenionia chuckled despite herself.

"What are you laughing at, Tenionia?" She turned to see Mahad and Mana walking up next to her. She gestured at Atem who was looking awkward and Mana snickered. Even Mahad cracked a light smile at that.

"I know I should be respectful, but I can't help but snicker at poor Atem." Tenionia smiled.

"I know, poor Pharaoh." Finally the song ended and Atem bowed respectfully to the lady and walked over to the magicians.

"I'm glad that's done with." Tenionia chuckled.

"Now you know how I feel when princes try to woo me." Mana giggled at the white magician's tone, Atem cracked a smile and Mahad shook his head, rolling his eyes.

"At least the Pharaoh is kind towards the daughters of the noblemen." It was Tenionia's turn to roll her eyes.

"Right." Mana and Atem chuckled and a new song started to play. Atem turned and offered his hand to her.

"May I have this dance?" He asked and Tenionia smiled, taking his hand into hers. She chuckled as he pulled her gently out onto the dance floor and the pair began to slow dance. He was a little bit taller then her and as they danced, she rested her head on his shoulder.

"You know, I was thinking about what you said earlier." She told him as she lifted her head.

"And?" He asked eagerly and she chuckled. She buried her face in his chest.

"All my life I had people that cared for me, but not enough and I was used to this." She looked up at him.

"Until you." Her hand dropped from his and she leaned in and kissed him. He was surprised for a moment but melted and responded eagerly. Tenionia and Atem noted the angry cries of the daughters of the noblemen. Tenionia pulled away and Atem touched his nose to hers.

"I love you, Princess Tenionia." He murmured. She smiled and hugged him.

"I love you too, Pharaoh Atem."
