Hey there,
The previews had me a little worried about the finale, but I was happy with the direction they took it in. I know some of you may disagree with me, but I think it was pretty clear that this trip is not the end of them.
I loved the line at the end when Buck said he will be there when she gets back. Absolutely perfect! I think having her leave for a little while will give Buck time to grow even more in his feelings. Since their relationship progressed so quickly, this will give it more legitimacy and leave them with a great storyline for season 2. Let me know what ya'll think!
His heart sank when she told him about the trip to Dublin.
"I guess this means we're going back to being phone buddies for a little while," Buck said as he hugged her tightly on the couch.
Abby smiled, "It will give you a little time to miss me."
"I... miss you every moment I'm not with you," Buck said shyly.
"When does your flight leave?" He asked sitting up from her.
"Tomorrow night at 9pm," Abby said seeing the sadness on his face. Even though he was clearly dying inside, he was being so supportive. He really was so perfect.
Abby stood up still holding his hand. "I'm so tired," She said pulling him up with her.
"Does that mean you want me to go?" Buck teased letting go of her hand and taking a step away from her.
"Ummm, when did I ever say that," Abby fired back as she grabbed his arm. " I definitely don't want you to go." She laughed as she pulled him into her bedroom.
Buck took off his shirt and laid down on her bed, opening his arms as an invitation for her to lay on his chest. She took off her jeans and crawled up into his arms. She laid down and hugged him.
After a few minutes of silence, Abby broke it.
"I need to do this trip for mom because she never got the chance. And I need to do it for me because I need to grieve. But I also need to do it for you. I don't want to be stuck in this sadness, feeling lost and broken. I want to be with you, I just need time to get there." Abby whispered to him looking into those beautiful eyes. She leaned up and kissed him gently. Well, it started gently and then turned into a deeper more passionate kiss.
They hadn't had sex since the night before her mom died. Abby had been so out of it and too sad and Buck totally understood. He didn't want to rush her back to normal life.
But this kiss was getting him aroused. Abby switched positions without breaking the kiss and was now straddling him.
"Are you sure you're ready Abby? He said in between kisses.
"I'm sure! I don't want to go away without having you inside of me one last time" She said in her sexy voice.
That was all Buck needed to be fully hard. He pushed her up from the kiss and pulled off her sweater. She leaned back down to kiss him and he flipped them over so that he was on top. He trailed kisses down her neck and across her chest before leaning back up to her face and kissing her lips again. Abby was holding him so tightly and he couldn't wait any longer. He thrust himself inside of her. Sex with Abby had always been so much more than sex. But tonight, it was especially intimate.
He had spent the past week taking care of her. Barely leaving her side, gradually keeping more stuff at her place and slowly falling in love with her. In this moment he was connecting with her on a deeper level than he could have ever imagined was possible with another human being. He wasn't falling in love with her anymore, he had fallen as deep as you can fall. He was in love.
Abby fell asleep in Buck's arms. He kissed her head and drifted off.
The next morning, she was up before him as usual. She had made coffee and brought it in to wake him. He had an 8 am shift, but would be back here at 5 pm so they could grab dinner before he took her to the airport. He was dreading that moment, but he was so proud of her for taking this huge leap. Hopefully, it would make their relationship stronger. He sure as hell wasn't going to make any mistakes while she was gone. He was going to be faithful.
