Hope/less
If you walk to the back of Konoha, you will notice less and less people and more ANBU, then, even further in, you will begin to notice empty, unused houses, still in the condition they were in that day, blood stains and all.
The Uchiha clan once lived here.
the first apartment was home to Rin and her husband Raiko, they had an eight year old daughter who wanted to be a medic-nin one day. Her name was Chaiko, she would visit her cousin Sasuke sometimes, and she would journey with her other cousins to go and watch Itachi training. She idolized the sannin Tsunade, she even had a wallscroll of the medic-nin on her wall.
Her worn and dusty room.
then, there was Tai and Chiko the small house they lived in. They had two children, Yuzu and Minako. Yuzu was a little girl who would dress up as an ANBU and play with her cousins in great chases. She would stalk down her older cousin Itachi and beg for him to train her to be a brilliant ANBU captain like him one day, he always ignored her. She loved to paint in her free time. Her drawings covered her now dormant room, the dust hiding the brilliant colors from view. Minako, had never been born. His room was still there, painted a tranquil yellow, the crib placed gently to the side. You could still the blood spatter covering it, from where Minako and his mother had met their end.
Their horrible, unexpected end.
Oh, and there! That house, the home to Komani and Genju, two active ninjas, Komani was an ANBU, his wife a brilliant Chuunin. They had one child, twelve years old. His name was Raito, he had been the light of his parents lives. He had wanted to be a hokage one day, wanted to be the first Uchiha hokage. He had become a Genin that day.
The day of his death.
There's Rei and Arato's place, they'd had three children. Kira, Rue, and Taiyo. Kira had wanted to be a civilian chef. Rue had wanted to run a clothing shop for civilians and ninjas. Taiyo had wanted to be an ANBU. They had always bickered about that, about him entering the academy. They had been about to tell him he finally could.
They never got the chance.
how could anybody forget Daisuke and Gim's place? They invited everybody over, all the time, always so happy to make people smile. They'd only had their little Yomi, and everyone had loved him. He had a dimple, and big blue eyes uncommon to the Uchiha. Everyone always thought he'd never get sharingan because of them. He proved them all wrong. He'd had them activated for the first time that day. You could almost picture the still wide open sharingan of those eyes.
As they lay besides his head.
Finally there was the mansion. Mikoto's and Fugaku mansion. They had two children, Itachi and Sasuke. Itachi had never said what he wanted to be when he grew up. He became the captain of the ANBU, he was loved by all. Sasuke, when asked, always said he wanted to be as powerful as his brother, wanted to be the best like him. His father had already decided it was impossible, he was eight and not even close to be out of the academy yet. That day, Sasuke had wanted to train with his brother.
His pain never stained the brown boards of his parent's home, but, oh, how he wished it could have as he walked through these houses and tried to remember.
Then, he set flowers on the grave, and tried to forget.
