The first time Yamaki threatened to lives of Janyu's children, he came home to an empty apartment. He didn't think much of it, just took off his shoes, made himself an instant meal, and then went to sleep.

The second time he threatened the lives of Janyu's children, his lighter went missing. He was a little ticked, but simply went to his junk drawer and found another one.

The third time he threatened the lives of Janyu's children, his glasses went missing. They weren't beside his bed when he woke up. That day, he went to Hypnos without his sunglasses.

The fourth time he threatened the lives of Janyu's children; the sink was full of dirty dishes, almost as if put there purposely. Yamaki thought it was weird, usually Reika had the house in some sort of clean order, her doing, not his, and it was only when he realized this did he inspect the apartment further. There was a thin line of dust covering the TV and some shelves.

The fifth time he threatened the lives of Janyu's children, he came home late, Digimon were coming more and more often these days. When he walked into his shared apartment, he noticed a visible change. The house was clean, the sink empty...

And his bedroom door was locked.

Taped on the door was a piece of paper.

'Stop threatening people into doing your dirty work. If you can't, sleep on the couch.'

Yamaki balled his fists, reaching into his pocket for the key to his bedroom. It was only when he lifted the key out and put it in the lock did he notice there was more to the note.

'P.S. Your key won't work anymore.
Night, Reika'

From that point on, Yamaki slept on the couch.
