A/N: Aloha y'all! Leah wanted a fic where Bozer and Riley "puppysit" Mikey for the day, but almost lose him! Hope you enjoy, sweetie! Thanks for all the feedback! Enjoy!

Puppysitting

Mikey padded over to the couch and whined for what seemed like the millionth time that day. Bozer groaned and Riley chuckled.

"What could he possibly want now?" He whined. Mikey barked at him, his thick tail wagging.

"Maybe he's hungry." Riley suggested.

"But he just had three bowls of food not thirty minutes ago!"

The techie shrugged. "Then I don't know. Maybe he's missing Mac or something." Bozer nodded. It would make sense, considering how close those two are. The partners had left early that morning to leave for their mission. Luckily, they would be back by later tonight, (more accurately in another three hours, Bozer noted as he glanced at the clock), so that left the other two to babysit while Mac was gone. So far they were all having a good time.

That is until Mikey started this game of whining for absolutely no reason at all.

Like right now for instance.

"Alright. C'mon, Mikey. Let's go let you out." The husky willingly followed the darker skinned man to the slider door. Bozer opened the door and told Mikey to go outside. However, the agouti husky just sat there staring at him with those brilliant blue eyes. Bozer groaned.

"Mikey! Go outside!" Bozer raised his voice a little, pointing. When the husky still didn't make any move to listen, Bozer reached out to grab him by the collar. But Mikey took off in the opposite direction, making Riley laugh from her spot on the sofa.

"Well. That went well. How about we just take him for a walk around the neighborhood? Maybe he just needs to burn off some energy." She suggested as the husky came over to her. Bozer agreed and went to go get Mikey's leash.

"Well it got dark fast." Riley said as they walked down another street towards the house. The trio walked for a good hour and a half with Mikey leading the way. Mac had told them he could be trusted off leash, so they decided to let the dog have his freedom while it was still light out. Now that it was getting dark though, Riley just wanted to be safe and clipped his leash back on.

They went to go make the last turn when they spotted a cat walking down the sidewalk. Mikey instantly got excited and started to pull hard on his leash. It took both the young agents to keep him down.

But, unfortunately, their combined strength just wasn't enough and the young husky's leash ripped free from Riley's grasp. They both shouted Mikey's name in unison, telling him to come back. But the pup was just too wrapped up in his game of chase the cat to notice. The poor cat screeched in fright at the flurry of dark fur and sharp fangs that flashed before it's face. He tried to scramble up a tree, only to remember his owners had de-clawed him a month ago.

Welp. Can't go up.

Looks like the street's the best option of escape.

Bozer and Riley watched in horror as the pair bolted down the road at full speed, barking and screeching echoing through the neighborhood. What were they gonna tell Mac? He was gonna be so mad! Bozer gulped. Mac'd probably kick him out of the house!

Bozer took on a determined look. Uh uh. That wasn't gonna happen on his watch. No sirio!

"Come on Riley! We can cut him off if we run up the other side!" Bozer said hurriedly, tugging on the techie's arm. She nodded after reining in her shock and they took off after the barking dog.

It didn't take long to locate them. Mikey had managed to pin the cat up on top of the neighbor's free standing bird feeder. The cat was hissing and trying to swipe the husky's nose with his sharp claws. Apparently, Mikey never really cared because he just kept on barking hysterically. He never stopped until Riley came up behind him and got a real secure hold on his collar.

"Gotcha!" She said. Mikey grumbled unhappily.

"And that was when you guys showed up!" Bozer finished retelling their exciting afternoon. Riley nodded and gave Mac an apologetic look. Mikey, who laid across his owner's lap, looked a little guilty too.

"We're really sorry, Mac. I should've kept a better hold on his leash. We understand if you don't ever want us to babysit again."

Mac and Jack shared a look. Jack shrugged.

"I'm not banning you from babysitting him again and I accept your apology. I'm just glad you guys found him before something bad happened to him."

"Of course. We wouldn't have given up." Bozer promised with a fist bump at the blonde.
