Patch's POV
Wind smashed against the windows of our new home, forcing me out of my slumber. Memories from last night flooded my mind as I opened my eyes and was greeted with the most beautiful sight. Nora was sleeping peacefully beside me, lost in some sort of dream. Eight months ago I would've never believed I'd be lying here with this beautiful girl in my arms. I wasn't supposed to have fallen in love with her, but that's the thing about love; you can't control it. And I could not be more grateful for letting Nora into my life. She is the one person who truly knows me and with whom I can be my true self, no lies, no schemes... just me. I would give my life for her and I know she'd do the same.
Nora stirred beside me, eyelashes fluttering as she adjusted to the morning light. "Morning." She said, smiling up at me. Brushing her soft curls from her cheek, I leaned in to give her a kiss. My hand slowly traveled down the bare skin of her back, holding her closer to me. Her small hands moved to my dark hair, tugging slightly. Grinning, I tore myself away, our lips barely touching. "Merry Christmas, Angel."
