I've been reading the 39 Clues and I couldn't believe that Ian betrayed Amy like that! So here's a lil story of Amy standing up for herself.
Amy's POV
That jerk, he betrayed me. Now he wants my forgiveness. Well he'll have to work his butt off if he wants it so bad.
Oh, hello, I'm Amy Cahill as you might already know. Recently, like yesterday, Ian Kabra asked me to forgive him about what had happened in Korea.
This is how it happened:
Ding Dong! The doorbell rang.
"Amy, get the door!" Dan yelled.
"Yeah, yeah, dweeb I'm going!" I yelled back.
I ran to the door and opened. My jaw nearly dropped to the floor when I saw who was there. Ian Kabra.
"What do you want?" I said, more confident then I felt.
"Amy, I'm sorry about what happened in Korea. I know you probably hate me, but I brought this to make up for it." He said softly and handed me a box.
I had to admit, it was beautiful, a necklace with a golden heart and my initials on it. It was a locket though, and inside it read 'I'm sorry,'
"Ian, it's lovely, but … you hurt me too much. Money doesn't buy love." His face fell.
"But, Amy, if I can't prove it to you like that, then how…?"
I poked his chest. "Speak from the heart, Ian. Then we'll see," I smiled and closed the door.
That happened yesterday, now today we have a reunion, the first Cahill one since the Clue hunt.
Dan and I entered the Kabra household, where the reunion was being held.
Dan rang the doorbell and Natalie and… Ian answered. "Hello, cousins, come in." Natalie opened the door more and let us in.
Ian looked at me with guilt. I felt bad, but I had to stand up for myself.
"Amy…" he said softly.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Please, I-I…" he couldn't say what he was going to say.
"Amy, come with me! We're going to play truth or dare with Dan and my brother!" Natalie pulled my arm and led me to a rug. Dan and Ian were sitting down already.
"Ok, Daniel you first," Natalie instructed.
"OK, Ian truth or dare?"
"Truth." Ian answered.
"Is it true that you are in LOVE with my SISTER?" Dan said loudly so everyone heard. Everyone gasped and looked at Ian for an answer,
He took a deep breath then stood up. "Yes, it is true that I am in love with Amy Cahill. She's smart, beautiful, and cute when she stutters, I don't care what any of you think, I love her. It just feels right." Ian said looking at me the whole time. I gasped.
'Ian, I-I love you too. And I forgive you, you proved your love by saying it in front of our family." I smiled. He smiled too, ran up to me, picked me up, and kissed me. The kiss made everyone start a riot, ha. But it was full of promise and love.
I guess love is worth waiting for after all.
