So, I suddenly had this idea that the "Zombie" lyrics by the Cranberries would fit in great with the war Carrion is planning, and with Chris' insane mind, and with Candy's point of view. It's kinda short, but here you go. Also, the words in bold mean that it's from that person's point of view, or what's happening in another place.

Disclaimer: The "Zombie" lyrics belong fully to the band The Cranberries, and the characters in this fanfic belong to Clive Barker who wrote the masterpiece "Abarat".

Christopher Carrion raced to the top of his twelfth tower, carrying a fuming Candy Quakenbush in his hands. She was trying to get away, moving her body and shaking herself violently. Finally she gave up, realizing that he had won this battle, and she slumped down, her eyes on the ground.

Another head hangs lowly,

Child is slowly taken

The whole archipelago, Abarat, seemed to be silent, waiting for The Prince of Midnight's answer of whether he would declare war on the Islands.

And the violence caused such silence

Who are we mistaken?

Candy

But you see it's not me,

it's not my family

In your head, in your

head they are fighting

With their tanks and their bombs

And their bombs and their guns

In your head,

in your head, they are cryin'

In your head, in your head

Zombie, zombie, zombie.

What's in your head, in your head

Zombie, zombie, zombie.

And meanwhile back in the Hereafter…

Another mother's breakin'

heart is taking over

Still, the Islands seemed to be waiting for an answer.

When the violence causes silence

We must be mistaken

Candy

It's the same old theme since 1916

In your head,

in your head they're still fightin'

With their tanks and their bombs

And their bombs and their guns

In your head

In your head they are dyin'

In your head, in your head

Zombie, zombie, zombie.

What's in your head, in your head

Zombie, zombie, zombie...

And so The Lord of Midnight declared War between Night and Day….

So, did you like it? Reviews are always inspiring. It might be a little weird, but I enjoy it.

A/N I guess we could say that 1916 is when Carrion was able to fully understand the concepts of war, and began to plan one himself. Yes, that's it…..
