There was an author a while ago who wrote a story called Every Other Weekend and I really liked it, but they stopped after a few chapter. So, this is my own spin off it, but I'm using JONAS characters instead of Camp Rock. This is the Prologue chapter…ENJOY! PS- Lennox pronounced Len-icks.
Things were never supposed to end up like this.
"Do you have everything packed to go stay at Daddy's?"
"Yeah, mom. Everything. Don't worry."
"I'm your mother, it's my job to worry."
Having a child at 17 and trying to make things work was more than difficult.
"Lennox won't stop crying, Kevin..Why won't she stop crying!"
"Baby…Everything's alright…You're tired..Give her to me and get some sleep."
"You're too good to me…"
How is it you can manage to hold everything together and then one day it all blows up?
"I HATE THIS LIFE, KEVIN!"
"Then leave, Macy! LEAVE! See if I care!"
"Fine! I will leave! And I'm taking Lennox with me!"
"FINE!"
Is it too late to try and make things right and be civil?
"Mom, it's been 16 years. Can't you and dad try and be civil? It would be nice for the two of you to be in the same room at least once a year."
"Lennox, you just don't understand, sweetie."
"No, mom. You don't understand. You don't understand at all…"
Can one surprise truly bring a torn up family closer together?
"Kevin, Lennox needs us. Both of us."
"I know she does, Macy. I just wish this wasn't the circumstance."
"I know, Kevin…I know."
Can things truly turn around?
"You know I'm sorry..Right, mom? I never meant for any of this to happen."
"I know, Lennox. Believe me, I know just how you feel."
"But…It is nice to have you and dad being friends again. I really need you both right now."
"Don't worry your pretty little head. You're always going to have us both."
"Daddy? What are you doing here?"
"I need to talk to your mother."
