Katie Brown was sitting on her couch watching her soaps. It was a boring day so far she was off from work that day. She was 23 years old, living in an apartment with her husband, Zack Mooneyham. Zack was a assistant manager at a Publix. Him and Katie were married for two years now and were happy. They meet in the 4th Grade when Katie transfered from her old school to Harace Green. He was the first friend she had. She was the new girl in school but he did'nt care. Then in High School they became a couple.
Ring Ring! Katie's cell phone rang.
"Hello." She said.
"Hey honey I'll be home soon I got off work early. I got some important news to tell you." Zack said, sounding exited.
"Come on tell me now!" Katie asked so curious.
"No not now this is important." He said acting a little bit serious now.
"O.K. see you in a few." She said and the hung up the phone.
Katie turned the T.V. off and got into the shower. She felt so good being in the shower feeling so clean! She
did some dishes then cleaned up the living room. Then Zack walked in so proudly.
"I'm proud of myself." He said to himself.
"About what? Is this about the big news?" Katie asked.
"Yes, umm well I don't know how to break this to you but I joined the Army"
There was a small moment of silence.
"How could you. Everything was going good. We were thinking about starting a family and your leaving for the army. People die out there Zack!" Katie cried.
"I'm sorry, I got to serve my country. I only enlisted for two years so when I get back we can start it." Zack said.
"I still can't belive it. Zack I'm going to stay with you through this." She hugged him and they sat there and watched a movie.
