Just something I wrote when I was on vacation this week. Basically expressing my feelings on the beach through Mitchie. I own nothing and all that stuff I usually say at the beginning of stories. Enjoy!
Mitchie hates the beach. Always has, always will. She loves the ocean, but what comes before she can't stand at all. There's sand everywhere, sand in places where it shouldn't be. Hot, sticky, harsh sand. And the water is cold, and the waves are strong and they push her back and forth. And there's people, so many people! Loud people, annoying people. She'd much rather be in her room writing a song, or by the lake at Camp Rock.
But she wasn't there, she was here. Here, at the beach. Of course, she hadn't actually stepped foot on the beach, but still. She hated it with a passion. With only one week until Camp Rock, her parents had decided to take a vacation until camp started, so they brought her here.
Her parents loved the beach. They could spend hours out there, weeks just going to the beach every day. And they worked hard all year, so Mitchie didn't say anything about going to the beach. After all, they deserved the break.
"Bye, Mitchie!" Said her dad as he walked out of the hotel room, towel and beach chair in hand.
"You sure you don't want to come?" Asked her mom, looking at her worriedly.
"Yeah, mom, don't worry about it. I just have a small headache." She smiled, trying to be as assuring as possible, and waved to her mom when she left.
Okay, so she didn't have a headache. Not even close, but she didn't want to ruin the vacation for her parents. It was easier to just tell them a little white lie.
Once her parents were gone, she got her junk food supply out and sat down on the couch, turning on the TV to Hot Tunes TV. God, I hate being such a couch potato, she thought.
Just then, her cellphone beeped once. She picked it up lazily then perked up immediately when she saw it was a text message from Shane. She answered quickly, smiling as she did so.
Sure, so she hated the beach. But until camp started, she had an endless supply of Skittles and texting Shane to keep her alive.
So what'd you think? Go ahead, tell me, I can take it. It sucked, didn't it? Well, even if it did, I wanna know, so go and review. Please? Okay? Okay :
