Minerva stood by her window watching all of the students running around and laughing, she wished she was that young again without any true care. It had been so close, she almost lost Albus up in the Astronomy tower, luckily she got there in time to stop Snape. He got away but it didn't matter she would get him back for what he almost did to her Albus. Her, Albus? He wasn't hers, he didn't know about her feelings but that would change.
Minerva walked away from the window and and out of her room. The long walk to Albus's office felt shorter than usual the walk was more of a running sprint. As she got to Albus's office she said the password and got in.
"Malted milk balls." Minerva replied as the staircase began to appear.
She ran up the stairs and opened the door without knocking.
"Albus!" Minerva yelled as she looked for him, he was nowhere to be seen.
As Minerva began to panic she heard the distinct voice of the Sorting Hat.
"He has gone outside for a celebration!" The hat beamed.
"But it's raining! He could get sick in his condition!" Minerva replied.
"I couldn't stop him!" The Sorting Hat said in a 'duh' manner.
"Right excuse me." Minerva said as she left the office and went out front where Albus and some students were.
She walked out the doors of Hogwarts to see Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny singing and dancing in the rain with Albus standing and laughing. Minerva walked towards him with a death glare.
"Albus Dumbledore!" Minerva yelled as she reached him.
Albus just turned to her and said, "Aww, Minerva, care to join us?"
"No and you should not be out here!" Minerva replied.
"Why not?"
"One it is raining and you have just got out of the hospital and two there is no reason to be out here."
"Oh but ther is. See we are celebrating the fact that good has prevailed, Minerva."
"Good has not prevailed!" Minerva yelled, the younger people stopped what they were doing and just stood there watching things unvail.
"Minerva..." Albus tried to reply but was stopped.
"Don't, Minerva me! Good has not prevailed, yes we won this one but what about the next? You almost died don't you understand that! If you died so would have the rest of the wizarding world, including me! If you died I would have died! For Merlins' sakes why should I be out here celebrating your near death and my near death of having to lose you someone I love and care about!" Minerva proclaimed as tears fell from her eyes.
Harry, Ginny, Hermione and Ron stood with their mouths open as they heard Minerva say she loved Albus. Everyone stayed still as the two professors stood with their staring at eachother, as a couple minutes passed, Minerva, finally spoke.
"I...I didn't mean...I mean I did but didn't." Minerva stammered.
Albus walked towards her and placed his hands on her face.
"I hope you did." Albus whispered before he kissed her with every morsel of love he could muster that he had felt for the last forty years.
"I love you." Minerva said as the kiss broke.
"I know and I love you too, Minerva." Albus replied as Minerva and him began to kiss again.
The four students stood and watched with smiles on their faces but decided to leave after a few minutes and let the two professors be alone. All was well at that point, the two old professors knew things were going to be hard with all the darkness but even with that they knew that their love would light the way.
Tell me what you think. RandR people!
