Snuffie
Him
He's the one, he must be mine. With those icy blue eyes, and the gorgeous blonde hair, oh and the way he walks, he's the one I, Effie Trinket, will someday call my husband.
Effie Trinket aged 21, dreams lazily while dozed off in her office room consisting of only the colour pink. She gets up from her hot-pink, polished wheely chair, and begins to dance swiftly, while humming the melody of You Da 1 by the long-ago deceased Rihanna. Clearly she was in love.
After a few moments there was a knock heard at the door. She immediately stops humming, and freezes in her current dance position, before standing straight, and fixing her puffy hot pink hair. She calls out "Come in," hoping they hadn't heard her terrible, terrible loud humming.
In shuffles a male Avox , looking around 20 years old, holding a note with some beautifully written words on. He hands her the note, before quickly and sheepishly shuffling out. Was that a blush she saw on his face?
She reads the note, realising the handwriting seamed familiar. The way everything leaned, giving it a snakish look, she had seen that handwriting before. Once during the presidential elections, the last one before that handsome Snow announced himself the supreme leader never to be replaced, and another, when she had her boss, again Snow, sign her contract of working for him, and The Annual Hunger Games Program.
It read "Dear Ms Trinket, I would like to see you in my office at 7pm, this Thursday afternoon. There are matters we need to discuss… C. Snow"
She couldn't believe it. Had she done something wrong? Did her boss (and forever crush) hear her singing and/or dosing off at work? Was she going to be an Avox? Or was she looking at the situation the wrong way? She did seem to get a lot of complaints about how she had a bigger office than all the other 11 tribute-escorts working in this building. And how she always got a little more pay for the same work. And oh, did she forget to mention how she has her lunch break scheduled half an hour longer than all the others? Maybe she was just looking at the situation from the wrong angle. Besides, he did invite her to his office at such a late time…
She couldn't wait.
