A/N: This came to me when I got back from a friend's birthday party and opened the little gift bag. Enjoy.

Bumblebee followed the sound of laughter through the base, looking for Sam and Mikaela. He had been accosted by Ratchet for a checkup and they had gone off to explore while he went through the scans, and they had a twenty minute head start on him.

As he turned the corner into what passed as the rec room he stopped short in time to see Mikaela bat something yellow and round at Sam's head. Amazingly though its flight started at speed it slowed quickly and by the time it reached Sam it was floating gently two feet above his head.

Sam jumped and flailed at the air, and caught the strange yellow globe a glancing blow that sent it zipping across the rec room, Mikaela scrambling after it to kick it just before it touched the floor, sending it right up high in the transformer-sized room and over the furniture squashed up at the edges.

"Dirty shot!" Sam yelped as he climbed a sofa to reach the falling object and give it a solid punch towards Mikaela.

"Was not, you know there's no rules." Mikaela batted it towards Sam again just as Bumblebee made an inquiring whirr and Sam turned to look at him.

The little yellow thing bounced off Sam's head and he caught it with a sheepish grin "Hey Bee. Wow, we must look so stupid…"

Bumblebee made the whirr again and pointed at the spheroid Sam was holding.

"This? It's a balloon. It's rubber stretched really thin that you fill with air so it floats around." Sam threw the balloon into the air and watched it slowly fall, catching it before it hit the floor.

Bumblebee nodded, but still looked a little confused. "Whatcha doin', tell me whatcha doin'…."

"Bananarama? Seriously?" Mikaela giggled.

Bumblebee blew an electronic raspberry at her.

"Okay, okay. It's a kids game where you keep the balloon in the air – it's not allowed to touch the floor and you take it in turns hitting it unless it's really close to one person." Mikaela explained.

"..shhhkk.. What happens if- kssshhk."

"Bee! Ratchet said not to use you vocal processor!" Sam scolded.

Bee acted contrite but glanced over at Mikaela for an explanation.

"If it hits the floor you pick it up and start again." She guessed as Sam batted the balloon toward her. She punched it at Bumblebee. "You can play too."

Bumblebee tentatively flicked the yellow balloon over Sam's head with a finger, and soon the trio were racing around the rec room, trying to keep the balloon from touching the floor.

BLAM

Sam shrieked at the gunshot-like noise before laughing.

Bumblebee jumped, looking for whatever made the sound.

Mikaela laughed at them and motioned for Bumblebee to put his hand down, picking a scrap of rubber from his finger joint. "I think we need some sturdier balloons."

A/N: R+R please! The sequel to Salvation is coming along slowly but surely, I haven't abandoned it. I just got distracted by balloons. They're quite mesmerizing when you bat them around.
