To call it oversleeping was a bit of a nicety.

Jeremy resembled a blur as he ran about his room from the shower, hopping into boxers and jeans, trying to find a shirt and so on. He noticed that Tyler had oh-so conviently forgotten to wake him up before leaving. Such a good boyfriend.

Shrugging into a jacket as he practically tapdanced with speed down the stairs, Jeremy found his car keys and was out the door, hoping the cops weren't out in force, because he fully planned on ignorning the speed limit.

Ignore he did. His retro SUV basically slung into the parking lot. He wasn't sure how many traffic and moving violations he had committed, but he'd guess between five and seventeen. As Jeremy nearly windsprinted into the school he was quite thankful that Ric was covering for him...probably. He snuck into the back of the classroom with a shy smirk that played very well with an eyeroll from Alaric. He made a note to kiss-up to anyone and everyone it took to keep his grades up in this class.

As he settled into his chair, Jeremy, oddly enough, couldn't help but smile. He hadn't the foggiest clue why. He had overslept, arrived late and had clearly missed something very important. But, well, he was happy. He felt warm and cozy. Like, heartwarming British romantic comedy cozy. Jeremy couldn't help but smile his way through class, and the next, and the one after that. School was bound to become enjoyable at some point.

All these thought decently melted away with each class. Not wishing to jeopardize his Zen, he found a secluded section of the school library and settled in for a nap. It seemed like the logical thing to do.

He shifted and made himself comfortable, snuggling into his jacket as he put his hands in his pockets.

Wait, what?

Jeremy pulled something out of the jacket that wasn't his, even though he knew what it was instantly.

Tyler's wallet. Though, he couldn't for the life of him deduce how Tyler's wallet had wound up in one of his jackets. He shrugged and leaned over to set it down. This action caused the somewhat fluffy shearling collar. His senses were immediately overrun. So much so he almost let out a moan.

It smelled perfectly like Tyler Lockwood. Because, Jeremy realized, it belonged to Tyler Lockwood.

It was smokey. It smelled like Tyler's cologne and the forest behind his house. It also smelled like the air freshner in his car. And his sweat. It smelled like everything.

Jeremy couldn't help himself. He carefully buried his nose in the collar and, this time, did moan. It was one thing to hold Tyler in his arms, but it was quite another to have Tyler do the same, even in such an inverted manner and method. He lost himself in the scent, the scent that belonged only to the two of them. It was perfect. It was, of course, the reason that school had been so perfect.

The nap came easily.

Jeremy eventually was awoken not by the bell, but by Tyler ruffling his hair. "You're a little thief, Jer." He smiled.

Jeremy smiled back with sleepy eyes. "Punish me later," He sighed, eyes dreaming as he pulled the frame of the laughing Tyler down beside him. "Sleep next to me now."

Yeah, Tyler could do that.
